CP & partners is a lighting design workshop that emphasizes teamwork. They study local culture and work closely with architects and designers to integrate lighting into projects. Their process involves research on site, concept development in collaboration with others, and preliminary layouts, drawings, and approval before final installation and supervision. The workshop is led by Roberto Corradini, a lighting designer educated as an architect, and Marco Palandella, a lighting designer and professor educated as an electrical engineer.

Optimizing location-based apps with open dataRaj Singh
Open data is on the rise, and freely available data sets - like municipal data - can bring huge value and new features to applications, at no upfront cost. For example, open crime data can be leveraged to support features that make location based apps safer for users.
However, the challenge for developers is to efficiently wrangle, store and deliver open data sets without having to build complex data architectures.
Using the example of crime data applied to a new safety feature for Pokemon Go, this webinar will demonstrate how to harvest open geo data, store it natively in a cloud database (Cloudant), and ensure it is highly available for applications and analytics platforms.

From Spark to Ignition: Fueling Your Business on Real-Time AnalyticsSingleStore
What’s in Store For This Presentation?
1. MemSQL: A real-time database for transactions and analytics
2. Spark Use Cases
3. Example: Geospatial Enhancements
Leveraging Geo-Spatial (Big) Data for Financial Services SolutionsCapgemini
For effective decision making, Big Data needs to be delivered at the right level of granularity at the right time. Capgemini’s FS BIM Innovation Practice, working through our Mastermind and Greenhouse processes to ensure a focus on real-world client issues, has developed a Reference Architecture (RA) based upon HP HAVEn to achieve these goals.
While Geo-Spatial Data has traditionally been applied to non-FS domains, effective application of this data has the potential to improve decision-making in FS, including in the areas of underwriting and pricing, claims, and bank and credit card fraud.

Ernest Martinez - Global Head - FS BIM Banking, Capgemini

Although NoSQL databases are relatively new, they've quickly adopted geo, from basic bounding box queries to full geospatial indexing, query and projection on a par with PostGIS. This presentation introduces NoSQL to the Geo developer, describing the pros and cons of NoSQL vs. relational, and what Geo functionality exists in the leading products.
For 30 years the central fact of database performance was the gigantic difference in the time it takes to access a random piece of data in RAM versus on a hard drive. It’s now feasible to skip all that heartache by placing your data entirely in RAM. It’s not as simple as that, of course. You can’t just take a btree, mmap it, and call it a day. There are a lot of implications to a truly memory-native design that have yet to be unwound.
These two trends are producing an entirely new way to think about, design, and build applications. So let’s talk about how we got here, how we’re doing, and hints about where the future will take us.
Using Big Data techniques to query and store OpenStreetMap data. Stephen Knox...huguk
This talk will describe his research into using Hadoop to query and manage big geographic datasets, specifically OpenStreetMap(OSM). OSM is an “open-source” map of the world, growing at a large rate, currently around 5TB of data. The talk will introduce OSM, detail some aspects of the research, but also discuss his experiences with using the SpatialHadoop stack on Azure and Google Cloud.
From many years of experiences in the field of design, Openbox is proud to be a leading Bangkok

3. Start point: Lighting Design
Light reveals and accentuate the essence of the
architectural design.
Lighting design is the key to ensure the achieving of the
best project quality.
We study the local culture in work in order to work in
close collaboration with architects and interior designers,
so we develop human environments where light is
completely integrated in the final built form.
Research, Concept, Project
4. Research
Light reveals and accentuate the essence of the
architectural design.
In each project and in the context of each site we want to
find the Genius Loci first.
Study on site collecting of information and data
5. Concept Development
Lighting design is the key to ensure the achieving of the
best project quality.
We work in close collaboration with architects and interior
designers, so we develop environments where light is an
integrated part of the final built form.
Communicating ideas
6. Concept Development
Communicating ideas
From the earliest stages of planning and through to
installing the final touches, ee place the upmost
importance on working together with a project’s team.
10. Client Approval
Design step by step
We do not like any compromise design creativity or
lighting quality.
By giving strong consideration to maintenance and
constructability, from the preliminary phase through all
the design development, the lighting fixtures are selected
and are ready for approval by both the architectural team
and the client.
Always respecting the budget.
