Dear Sir or Madam,
I am submitting my resume in hopes of filling a position I might bring my skills and
experience into, in the interesting of furthering the success and community of your
company, and developing work I can take pride in. I believe any new training I might
receive would be a provide a new valuable skill set to add to my resume, and offer
engaging, exciting and education life experiences and opportunities for my future.
My prior experience working as an accounting clerk for Brand Industrial Solutions will
allow me to bring my familiarity in working within an office setting, as well as the skills I
gained in communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers, and work welling in
both a team atmosphere and as an individual. Within Brand, as well as in my work as a pet
trainer at PetSmart and as shop staff at the Maedgen Theatre Costume Shop, I was able to
hone my communication skills to clearly and concisely discuss work arrangements or
objectives in a tactful, respectful, comfortable manner, while making sure the necessary
information and issues were resolved. While working as an intern in the Tony Award
Winning Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago, I became much more at ease approaching
strangers to get directly to what needs to be resolved, as well as collaborating between
differing departments of the theater to ensure we work as a whole to advance the
production. Theatre is a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and my experience
within this sort of setting has taught me to adapt quickly and provide inventive solutions.
I'm excited and looking forward to bringing these skills and experience to the position, as
well as develop new ones.
