I am excited about an opportunity to work in your team, and be an important part of your
system. I have a wealth of managerial experience, and an endless supply of energy to aid
in continuing your success.
I have lived and worked all around the world, which has allowed me to gain skills and
experiences in many areas such as management, instruction, presentation, lecturing,
scheduling, ordering, inventory, maintenance, and generally filling a plethora of support
positions in diverse teams and conditions.
Throughout my life, I have always been an incredibly instinctive person, both personally
and professionally. And I have always coupled that ability with a determination to work
as hard and as smart as is needed to be successful in each of my endeavors, which have
taken me all around the globe. Early on in my professional life, I was commonly the top
sells person at almost every place I was employed, which often times led me to a
management position.
I grew up in a resort town, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which allowed me to begin
working at a very young age. I officially started working at the age of twelve, because I
wanted to prove myself responsible enough to do so, to my parents. I have always fed off
of the value of being useful. One of my traditional goals is always to be an extremely
important asset to my employers, and advance in their system. This drive has normally
resulted in my being promoted younger and faster than has been traditional in those
companies. My insatiable desire to improve, has also been the life blood of my innovative
side, and accelerated much of my creativity.
While I am a marine biologist by trade, what I have really been doing all of my life is
managing and training people, and solving problems. Those are the things I specialize in.
And with such a great deal of international managerial experience, I am confident in my
ability to perform successfully in any environment. I am an idea person, and nothing
cultivates ideas more than real life experiences in different cultures and geo-political
locations.
Originally, one of the foremost reasons that I became a biologist was to see the world. I
am also a PADI Master Scuba Diving Trainer, which in our industry, is the third from the
highest rank you can achieve. I have also worked as a professional photographer in some
of my professional experiences. Those three skills have afforded me the opportunity to
travel, live and work in more than 40 countries around the world. My personal
motivation, was to efficiently experience as much of the world as I possibly could, to
broaden the spectrum of my knowledge. In the fields of marine biology and diving, it is
commonplace to seek contract work, with contracts of three, six, 12 and up to 18 months,
which was the perfect modality for my motivations. However, now that I have put more
than 15 years into traveling the globe, and obtaining all of these experiences, I am
looking for an opportunity where I can apply them to be successful in a more stable and
secure environment. The world is changing, and becoming ever increasingly unstable.
Therefore, I am of the mindset that a pivot to a company here at home, is a safer and
wiser decision for my long-term growth. Although, given the right opportunity, I would
still be open to different locations, or even frequent travel.
I have managed an entire resort in Malaysia, with 12 section managers and a staff of
nearly one hundred. I have also managed remote diving operations in several countries,
each coming with a complex web of logistics to constantly work out each week. Finally,
managing projects such as turtle conservation programs, hatcheries, artificial reefs and
hand feeding tiger sharks has given me skills and abilities to find success in even the
most difficult of situations. But part of being a great leader, is the ability to understand
those who follow. With my wealth of managerial experience, I have also learned to lead
by example, never asking my team members to do anything I wouldn’t do myself.
Therefore, I also take instruction very well. I believe in leading by example, and not just
by mere words.
In a precise system, each role is extremely important, because a successful outcome is
commonly dependent on everyone doing their part well. My work is my life, and I am
well acquainted with consistently laboring well past the common eight hour workday, or
five day work-week. I am always willing to work as hard and as smart as is needed to
ensure the continued success of my employers, and I will push myself diligently every
day, to ensure that my hiring, was one of the better decisions you have made.
Thank you for all of your time and consideration for this position. I look forward to an
opportunity to EARN your trust, respect and friendship.
Kind regards,
Stevae Weible
