1. SOP / PERSONAL STATEMENT
“Someone said, “The Science of today is the technology of tomorrow.” This statement brought
the greatest turning point in my life and forced me to take computer science as part of the
degree.
I grew up watching technologies, saw huge changes in software and technologies by my nacked
eyes, and even have experience of the Windows 98 operating system in my brother’s giant
desktop computer. Those days games like super mario, road rash were very popular and was
always used to play whenever I got a chance from my brother.
But time was running day by day and I came into high school where I learnt many many more
things about technologies and that was the first time I wrote my first computer program for a
simple calculator though computer programming wasn’t part of my high school subject. This
was totally magic for me because I was telling the computer to add, subtract, multiply and
divide numbers. I have been awarded with Certificates in the 8th “National Cyber Olympiad”
where I proved my talents in IT and technology, analytical and logical reasoning, algebra and
Solving Equation. Besides this I have always been a fantastic cricket player awarded three
times with prizes and cups. And at the end of the day I scored overall CGPA x.x in my 10th
Grade(SSC). However, I got x.xx% in HSC where Mark's percentage in English was 81%, 76%
in Mathematics, 60% in physics and 56% in chemistry.
After diving into studies, I got my favorite course dual degree(graduation and post graduation)
in computer science in one of the premier institutions of India for engineering named National
Institute of Technology(NIT), Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India in the year 2014. It was like
a dream for me because being in India getting a premier institution is very tough, lots of
competition has to be faced. This institution gave me great opportunity to grasp theoretical as
well as practical knowledge in terms of Programming where i took deep knowledge about
Python programming and C, Data Structure in order to organize the data in an efficient and
optimized way, Engineering Mathematics, Probability & Queuing Models, Operating System
where i experienced of how CPU Scheduling, DISK scheduling, file systems, etc works,
Software Engineering, Database Management System(DBMS) in which data is managed at
server level, learnt how to write SQL query in order to create table, insert, update and modify
data into it. Machine Learning which comes under Artificial Intelligence has always been one
of my favourite areas. One of my interesting projects was based on ML where I needed to make
a statistical model to classify the images from the image data(huge collection of Fashion
Clothing images) and finally had to predict the accurate result. During last year of my degree
had to complete a dissertation which was “Efficient Clustering Scheme in Cognitive Radio
Wireless Sensor Network” where the objective was to design a clustering algorithm such that

2. a lesser number of cluster are created while the number of nodes are increased because
cognitive radio network may lead to high power consumption and reduction of the life time of
nodes. K-mean algorithm, affinity propagation and sleep wake strategy are used massively in
order to make clusters efficient. Other than this two more projects had to complete during 4th
year where one was “Distributed downloader and merger” in which main aim was to minimize
total download time of large files over the internet. “SnapAll” was another project in which an
admin has to take screenshots of all computers in a network on a single click.
After getting some sort of knowledge in the field of machine learning, AI, statistics became so
passionate about doing a master degree in a special and particular area specially in the field of
machine learning and AI which is all about data, data mining , getting precious information
inside data, analyzing data using graphs and making ML models based on that data always
makes me interest toward this subject.
These days, I’m also working with a team on two research papers to be published in IEEE and
that papers are “Light Source Authentication in ADAS/Autonomous Vehicles” and “Deep
Learning based Real Time Vulnerability fixes Verification Mechanism for Automotive
firmware/Software”. And we are hoping to finish it by the end of December 2020.
During my college, I served myself in one of the best clubs “Glug open source coding Club”
for helping students in terms of programming, github, linux, and other new technologies. I
always encouraged freshers towards their interest. Being part of College Boys Hostel served as
“Hostel Committee Member” during session 2017-18 where I got experience of managing and
sorting things easily. Also got a letter of appreciation from the central library for contributing
books to the donation program. Moreover participated in “Ethical Hacking” in workshop and
“Debugging” in the annual students convention 2016.
Reason for Selecting Coventry University
The United Kingdom is known for its world rankings in terms of scholastically, research and
diversity. It’s always been a favourite for international students. Students come all across the
world for getting higher education, for getting quality knowledge because UK universities
come under world ranking even 5-6 universities always in top 10 world ranking. It is seen that
around 500 thousand students prefer going to the UK for their further education every year.
UK researchers always put their hand first into mud even if it is about preparing vaccines of
COVID-19. Many great indian personalities had their education in the UK such as Father of
India, Mahatma Gandhi, Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar(Chief architect of Indian constitution and
a great leader) and many more. UK higher education degrees and qualifications are recognised
by employers and academics worldwide.

3. Coventry University is one of the diverse universities in the UK in terms of nationality, color,
language, culture, etc. According to Guardian University Guide, It is ranked 1st in the Midlands
and 15th in the United Kingdom. University provides very high skills to the students to boost
their career in the real world industries. And I'm 100% sure that this university will definitely
give me a good opportunity to get ahead in my career and industries as well. It is situated at a
beautiful location in the city of Coventry. And it's near to the second biggest city Birmingham
takes hardly 30 minutes by train or buses. Over 97% of the students who come for graduation
or post graduation get employed or further study within just 6 month of graduating with a
degree from the university.
As I have great interest toward machine learning, data visualization, data analysis and python
programming that's became my main intention for choosing MSc in Data Science is only to
grasp deep knowledge and want to apply it towards real world industries.
And at the end, Only want to say that there is no word to express how excited I’m to join CU
and would like to give my all work ability with diligence and commitment if provided a chance
in the master’s program at your university.
