This study analyzed the cost of drug prescriptions for treating reactive airways disease (RAD) in children at an outpatient pediatric clinic in Northern India over one year. A total of 332 children were diagnosed with RAD. Bronchodilators and steroids were the most commonly prescribed drug classes, with steroids accounting for half of the total drug costs. The results provide insight into the cost burden of RAD treatment in India and which drug classes contribute most to costs. However, the study had a small sample size and increasing the sample size in future studies is recommended to consolidate the findings.
