The document describes applying two different audio effects, Voxengo Boogex and ReaFir, to an audio recording taken in a corridor. By applying the “Voxengo Boogex” effect to the audio recording that took place in a corridor and
changing the perimeters and adding the effects I chose to add I ended up with a recording that to
me sounded like a cracked almost broken CD as all you could hear was a scratchy noise in the
background and no actual speech where as in the original recording before I applied any effects the
speech was loud and clear due to the open space we had and the objects around that was reflecting
the sound and in the original one the speech was heard more than the background noises but now
that I gave it this effect it is now the opposite. I changed the emphasis and cut filters and this is what
made the speech sound really quiet as the more you made it smaller the more quiet the recording
was.

them to form this it
changed the sound
making it high and
low.
The second time I changed the recording that was took in a corridor I chose to use the “ReaFir”
effect. This effect had a graph with a red line across it that I could add points on to by clicking on the
line where I wanted to add them then by moving these into a position and shape that I wanted them
to be in the recording then began to change. When I dragged the lines up the recording would sound
high and if I dragged it down it would go low and be hard to hear the person talking in the recording.
So by choosing what I did the recording is now very pitchy and has an echo most of the way through
it.
