Copyright grants exclusive rights to publish and sell literary, musical or artistic works. Fair use criteria allows for limited use of copyrighted works for nonprofit educational purposes, including up to 10% or 1000 words of a work, an entire poem under 250 words, or no more than 5 poems from an anthology. When using photos, no more than 5 images from an artist, or 10% of a collection up to 15 images can be used, without cropping or alteration. Photocopying allows a complete article under 2500 words or 1000 words of a longer article, but not consumable materials. Commercial use requires erasing broadcasts after retention and no regular recording of programs. Microcomputer use does not allow copying software except one backup copy
