WORKING EXPERIENCE
 Working experience as a Shift Engineer/ Deputy Manager (Production)
at ITTEHAD Chemicals Ltd (ICL Chemi Group) from 08-03-08 to till date
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
• To supervise the plant production
• To check the all water analysis and chemical treatment for different water
systems at ICL power plant and monitoring chemical consumption and
chemical efficiency.
• To check cooling towers water analysis like (pH, Conductivity, TDS,
Phosphate, Zinc, Chlorides, Sulfates,Total Hardness, Ca Hardness, M –
Alkalinity, Iron, Free Chlorine, Bacteria, Cycle of Concentration etc) for
Engines and Steam Turbine and also monitor the corrosion rate of the
system.
• To check Boiler's water, Condensate, Boiler Feed Water and Steam
analysis like (pH, Conductivity, TDS, Phosphate, Eleminox, Silica, Iron,
Dissolved O2, Total Hardness, Ca Hardness, M – Alkalinity, P - Alkalinity
etc) for steam generation system.

• To check jacket water or closed circuit water testing (pH, Conductivity,
TDS, Nitrites, Iron, Total Hardness, Ca Hardness, M – Alkalinity etc).
• To operate plant with maximum efficiency and organize definite
procedures to keep it up.

97% solid flakes).
• To control evolution of chlorine gas and to maintain chlorine free
environment inside and outside the industry.

demanded by other departments.

experiment/amendment through reports.

 Worked experience as a Shift Engineer at Leiner Pak Gelatine from 01-
06-06 to 01-03-08.
Internship: - I worked as an Internee in Dawood Hercules Chemical Limited at
Utility section.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
I have worked at following projects in Ittehad Chemicals Limited (ICL)
 Ittehad Chemicals Limited (ICL) was facing energy crisis, there was a need to
minimize energy losses. Then, we installed Anode Cathode Protective Device
(ACPD) system in Hg Cell room (to overcome high voltage).Through it, now,
we have controlled power consumption from 32KWH to 27KWH. Now ICL is
being saved one million dollars per month.
 ICL was being consumed huge amount to import different type of resins to
prepare De-ionized water using at brine plant, IEM plant (Ion-exchange
membrane) boiler house. Now, we have erected a De-ionized plant to meet
ICL requirement.

 In IEM (Ion-exchange membrane) Cell Room, there was a problem regarding
with variation in voltage of electrolyzer. Because, there was not any
monitoring system to observe variation trend of voltage of electrolyzer that
was being caused a terrible problem. It was a basic reason of explosion in
electrolyzers. Then, we installed Voltage Monitoring System (VMS) in Ion-
exchange membrane cell room to watch their trends that helps to take an
appropriate action before any incident.
 Hg is being used in Hg Cell room for electrolysis of NaCl to prepare 50%
NaOH. Most of Hg was being drained in water and in mud. Then, we erected
an Hg furnace to recover 99 % of Hg from that drain.
 To prepare ultra brine to feed IEM Cell room, different methods were being
used to achieve specified demands (to remove maximum concentration of Ca,
Mg ions). Now, we are treating crude brine with CaCl2 to meet our objectives.
 To control the evolution of chlorine gas, lime stone in slurry form was being
treated with chlorine gas to form Ca hypo. This product was being drained.
ICL was being consumed 0.2 million dollars per month to purchase lime. Now,
chlorine gas is being treated with NaOH to prepare Na-hypo. It is a salable
product. Now, ICL is being saved its money 2.4 million dollars per year to
purchase lime and its profit is being increased to sale Na-hypo.
