- 2. Our History... Don andRick Wood, owners of Cooks Collision, have auto- repair roots that reach back to the 1930s. Their grandfather, Clyde, built cars for Ford Motor Company and later started his own body shop, where he passed his knowledge on to his son, Bob. After working as a body-shop manager for a Bay Area Volkswagen Dealer, Bob took out a mortgage against his family home and purchased Cooks Auto Body, fulfilling his dream of starting his own shop - just like his dad. Today, Don and Rick carry on the family legacy with 27 locations, over 500 employees, and still growing. Their ASE- certified, I-CAR technicians are factory-certified by Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Jaguar, and Volvo, and repair over 30,000 cars each year.

We can reproduce factory welds with our PLC based resistance spot welders, rapidly cure paint finishes in our high temp paint booths, and correct frame damage to within 1mm utilizing the most advanced computerized measuring systems on the market LEAN REPAIR SYSTEMS Operating on the lean production model, our facilities are designed to react quickly, processing your repair in cycle times that typically beat the industry standard.
