The National Math and Science Initiative aims to transform STEM education in the US by focusing on teacher training. Their programs have led to significant increases in student achievement, such as an 79% increase in qualifying AP scores after one year. Currently, their military families program partners with the DoD and others to provide AP courses in 52 schools across 15 states serving military families. Initial results show increases such as a 64% rise in qualifying math and science AP scores after the first year. The goal is to eventually partner with 250 military-impacted schools nationwide.
