After 4 drinks in 2 hours, movements become clumsy and speech slurred, while after 7 drinks the traffic accident risk increases 100 times. At 9 drinks vision blurs and thinking becomes confused, and 12 drinks renders a person incapable of voluntary action and their consciousness resembles surgical anesthesia. Fifteen or more drinks can compromise breathing and heartbeat, potentially causing death. While alcohol may initially reduce stress, just a few more drinks can induce depression, aggression, and loss of control.
