PACKAGING
The many advantages of ISO tanks
ISO tanks versus flexitanks
Transport per flexitank occurs a lot. Products such as wine and
latex are fine for this type of transport. However, the flexitank
is not suitable for all types of products such as IMO classified
products and goods that require heating.
Advantages:
• Optimal payload. A flexitank holds max. 24,000 litres. An ISO
tank can transport 26,000 litres
• Also suitable for the transport of IMO classified liquids
• Ideal for products that need to be heated to be unloaded
(steam or glycol)
• No risk of leakage
• Faster unloading process
• No additional handling required for the removal of
the flexibag
• Better product insulation, so less temperature loss
ISO tanks versus drums
Everywhere in the world, liquids are transported in drums or
IBCs and shipped via regular box containers. However, more
and more shipping companies in both the chemical and food
industry opt for transport via ISO tank containers. There are a
lot of advantages in terms of more efficiency and safety.
Advantages:
• Safer transport (less risk of leakage and damage)
• Optimal payload. Our ISO tanks can transport 26,000 litres
which comes to 128 drums of 205 litres

• Less residual load
• No warehouse required for storage
• No disposal costs for the drums
ISO tanks versus blocks
Products like cocoa butter and other vegetable fats are often
transported in blocks via box containers. Converting this
process to ISO tank containers means considerable savings in
handling and heating costs.

• No additional packaging, such as cardboard or pallets
• Much less handling, so less manual labour
• Easy batch traceability
• Much cheaper heating options
• No storage costs
