20th Century Fox Film Corporation is an American film studio formed through the merger of Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures in 1935. The company is chaired by Rupert Murdoch and has produced many commercially successful film and television franchises including Avatar, Ice Age, The Simpsons, and How I Met Your Mother. It is one of the major Hollywood studios located in Century City, Los Angeles and was formerly a subsidiary of News Corporation but is now owned by 21st Century Fox.
