This document lists different types of nonfiction and fiction texts as well as subjects that can be covered in a school garden to support various types of learning including reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and more. Examples given include newspaper articles, narratives, expository texts, poetry, science journals, journal entries, maps, reference books on life cycles, habitats, and classification. Subjects that can be covered are settlements, needs and wants, time, measurement, problem solving, money, calendar, weather, temperature, and graphing.
