This document discusses blogs and wikis and their potential uses for libraries. It provides definitions of blogs as reverse chronological collections of categorized and tagged archived material that allow for commenting and RSS feeds. Wikis are described as collaborative websites that allow quick editing without HTML knowledge but can lack organization and control. Examples are given of libraries that have implemented blogs and wikis successfully. Finally, some common blog and wiki software options are listed.
In most cases, art/design students have little idea of how business works. This presentation is an overarching view of the strategic role of design in business, but also peppered with some critical questions.
The new field of Learning Design provides ways to describe innovative teaching strategies, and methods for their online implementation. Last Monday Professor James Dalziel, Director, Macquarie E-Learning Centre Of Excellence (MELCOE), Macquarie University ran a workshop at INSPIRE on this topic. James was in Canberra as part of his Australian Learning and Teaching Council National Teaching Fellowship. The first half of this workshop covered Learning Design concepts and implementation, examples from the "LAMS" Learning Design system, and a discussion of recent development and future prospects for the field. The second half of the workshop was opened up for discussion, questions and exploration of examples, including consideration of the connections between Learning Design and Curriculum Design. Keith Lyons has blogged about the workshop here and the James's powerpoint slides are here.
The document summarizes several advanced weapons systems including a self-propelled howitzer, rifle, electronic firing system, airborne laser, sensor fused weapon, large bombs, and sound cannon. The Panzer Howitzer 2000 is a 55-ton automated artillery system with a range of 18-34 miles. The Barrett M107 rifle fires powerful .50 caliber rounds with an effective range over 5,000 feet. Metal Storm uses an electronic firing system to fire thousands of rounds per second from gun barrels integrated with magazines.

This document discusses how narratives can be used as spatial stories in hybrid ecosystems. It presents three options for how narratives function in these environments: 1) Representing stories in new formats like microblogging, 2) Using narratives to mediate actions, and 3) Forming community niches for narrative mediation. Narratives may enhance spatial storytelling by visualizing niches and attractor areas that guide community members' activities. Open questions remain around telling and reading distributed story fragments and maintaining mutual awareness in hybrid spaces.
The document discusses strategies for building cross-platform mobile web applications using web technologies like HTML5, jQuery Mobile, and W3C widgets. It provides steps for creating a basic mobile web app with pages, headers, content, dialog boxes, lists, and themes. It also covers packaging the app as a widget and distributing it across various platforms.
The document discusses the pros and cons of traditional desktop computers versus virtual desktop solutions. Traditional desktops have initial cost benefits but are bulky, inefficient, and difficult to manage and upgrade. Virtual desktops free up space, run quietly and efficiently, and allow easy access from any device. However, they are not suited for graphics-intensive tasks or highly mobile users requiring extreme computational power. Overall, virtual desktops provide many advantages over traditional desktops for general office use and accessing systems remotely.

Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where players use GPS devices and coordinates to hide and seek containers called geocaches around the world. Players find caches by entering latitude and longitude coordinates into their GPS, then using it to navigate to within 10 feet of the hidden cache. When a cache is found, players sign an online log and may trade small trinkets. Geocaching gets people outside exploring with map reading and navigation skills while building an online community around the game.

Computer Games in Education - Unlocking LearningOllie Bray
This document discusses the potential benefits of using computer games in education. It argues that games can promote learning through play, challenge, progression and reward in a personalized and competitive environment. The document also suggests that games can serve as "contextual hubs" to engage both students and teachers across different subject areas. Several case studies show improvements in math test scores and student motivation when using educational games. The document concludes by discussing how games can be designed and incorporated into teaching to foster literacy, problem solving and exploration of complex tasks while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

This document summarizes a longer story about a hare and tortoise race in multiple parts:
1) Initially the hare wins easily but loses when he stops to rest, allowing the tortoise to finish first.
2) They have a rematch that the hare wins by not stopping.
3) In a third race, the tortoise changes the route so it ends at a river, which the tortoise can swim across to win while the hare waits.
4) In the end, they realize teamwork is best and they work together to both finish the race.
The document discusses two methods for overcoming psychological inertia: brainstorming and defining an ideal final result (IFR).
Brainstorming involves assembling a diverse group, designating a facilitator, outlining the problem without criticism of ideas, and sorting ideas afterwards.
The IFR is defined as an implementation-free description of the solved problem, focusing on customer needs. It provides a measurable framework for gauging innovation by establishing a target state. The IFR eliminates deficiencies, preserves advantages, avoids unnecessary complexity, and does not introduce new disadvantages. It helps release the hold of psychological inertia.

2. Cuối năm 2008, People weekly magazine lần đầu tiên đưa hình ảnh một con chó lên trang bìa báo.
18. Bà Jude Stringfellow đã viết một quyển sách "With a little Faith“ diễn tả những kinh nghiệm trong giai đoạn dạy cho Faith đứng dậy.
