Deserts form through weathering from large daily temperature variations, occasional rainfall, and wind erosion. When it does rain, the water can quickly form flash floods. Sandstorms are common and can move entire sand dunes as wind blows loose sand. Animals that live in deserts have adapted to the harsh conditions, with many burrowing underground or storing water in humps and wasting little, like camels.

 It does rain in the desert, but not often. When it rains in a desert, a lot of water may
reach the ground in a short time.
RAIN IN DESERTS :
 Some rain passes straight into the dry sand,
but the rest may form a temporary
river. Wadis, stream channels that are
normally dry, can quickly fill after heavy rain,
causing flash floods.

dry surface. Clouds of sand or dust are often so dense that they obscure the sun.
