Elder Abuse Laws
Both federal and state laws address elder abuse, neglect and exploitation, but state law is the primary source of sanctions, remedies and protections related to elder abuse. Several tribes also have codes that address elder abuse (see the Native Indigenous Elder Justice Initiative for information on tribal codes and other resources). This page provides a brief overview of the major areas of federal and state law related to services for elder abuse victims, crimes against older persons, and civil remedies for elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. For information on laws related to elder abuse and guardianship for each of the states, see the state law map.

The Juvenile of Delinquency based on the Article of Mr Farhan in Speaking 3STKIP PGRI Jombang
Juvenile delinquency, also known as juvenile offending, or youth crime, is participation in illegal behavior by minors (juveniles) (individuals younger than the statutory age of majority). Most legal systems prescribe specific procedures for dealing with juveniles, such as juvenile detention centers, and courts. A juvenile delinquent is a person who is typically under the age of 18 and commits an act that otherwise would have been charged as a crime if they were an adult. Depending on the type and severity of the offense committed, it is possible for persons under 18 to be charged and tried as adults.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

2. Reasons for Youth Homelessness
• Family Problems: Many youth run away, resulting in
homelessness, due to physical and sexual abuse,
parental neglect, and/or mental health disorders or
substance abuse addiction of a family member. In
other cases, youth may be kicked out because the
family being unable to provide for the youth’s needs.
• Transitions from Foster Care and other Public Systems:
Foster care youth aging out of the system are often
left without or with little income support and housing
options increasing their likelihood for becoming
homeless.
• Economic Problems: Youth that sometimes become
homeless with families due to financial difficulties, are
often separated from families and see themselves
alone and on the streets.
3. Risks Associated
with Being
Homeless
• At great risk for mental, physical, and emotional issues. Severe anxiety and depression, suicide,
poor health and nutrition, and low self-esteem are common issues these youths face on the
streets.
• Sexual exploitation is commonplace on the streets. The likelihood that youth will exchange sex for
food, clothing, and shelter, or resorting to other methods such as dealing drugs to buy basic
needs increase.
• Difficulties for attending school, because a lack of access to necessary paperwork, transportation,
and resources. This causes youth to stay homeless because they cannot graduate and get a job.
• Violence and sex trafficking are huge problems with youth on the streets as victims
4. Our Purpose
• To engage homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth who
are not presently involved in monitored care through
the Foster Care system, or those who have aged out
• The youth we serve often exist in a “gray area” of
child protection laws, in which they may have
elected to leave their home as opposed to being
forced out in abandonment
• Compass North is a program that fully supports and
complies with mandatory reporting. Complaints are
filed with Child Protective Services in instances in
which a parent has forced the youth from the home,
or upon the disclosure of abuse or neglect
experienced by the youth
