This document compares the air quality modeling software AERMOD and ISCST3 using data from three industrial sites: a refinery, a natural gas compressor station, and a portland cement plant. AERMOD, developed for regulatory use by the EPA and the AMS, may produce varying results compared to ISCST3, which depends on specific modeling scenarios and atmospheric conditions. The findings indicate that AERMOD can predict significantly different concentrations, with instances of values being notably higher or lower than those predicted by ISCST3.
