Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X had both similar and different approaches to challenging white supremacy and institutional racism. While Dr. King preached nonviolent protest and civil disobedience, Malcolm X advocated any means necessary for black empowerment. Both men fought against racism and discrimination, leaving a legacy of resistance that still inspires today in the ongoing fight for racial justice and equality in the face of continued police brutality and systemic racism.
