This document discusses comparative adjectives and how they are used to compare two objects. It provides five rules for using comparative adjectives correctly: 1) add "-er" to one-syllable adjectives, 2) double the last consonant before adding "-er" for adjectives ending in consonant-vowel-consonant, 3) remove the "y" and add "-ier" for adjectives ending in "y", 4) add "more" before adjectives with two or more syllables or ending in "y" with three or more syllables, and 5) exceptions are "better", "worse", and "farther". Examples are given to illustrate each rule
