In this Community Service Project, I did a survey on Crop rotation,Zoological Survey,Government Schemes,Nutrition and Awareness program in school. In this survey I came to know that, in some cases the people who are not eligible for government schemes are also getting the facilities by the government due to the negligence of the volunteer..

 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are informal associations of people who choose to come together to find ways to improve their
living conditions.
 Villages face numerous problems related to poverty, illiteracy, lack of skills, lack of formal credit etc. These problems
cannot be tackled at an individual level and need collective efforts.They also help to build social capital among the poor,
especially women. This empowers women and gives them greater voice in the society.Financial independence through
self-employment and improved literacy levels, better health care and even better family planning.

5. REPORT:
 Today I visted a meeting of Self Help Group in our Area. The members of the group were sited in a round manner
in their regular meetings to facilitate face to face discussion and achieve active participation of all the members
in the decisions. It resolves conflicts through collective leadership and mutual discussion.And the leaders of the
SHG Raising Awareness About The Government Policy’s Members can take loans from the groups savings
themselves on a decided rate of interest. The rate of interest is much lower than the interest that is charged by
the informal sources. And I met with the leader of the SHG in 14th Ward she helped me to understand about the
SHG's and it’s Advantages. The below information about the SHG.
 A self-help group is a financial intermediary committee usually composed of 10 local women between the ages
of 18 and 50.A there is Two leaders in each Group. And there is RP for every ward as a leader and also a head for
all the groups.SHG meeting should be Conduct two times in a month. TLF meeting Conducted one time in a
month to create awareness on government Schemes etc. A GB meeting Should be Conduct to elect or choose
the president, vice-president, cashier, Co, Tlf head.

• Improving efficiency of government schemes
 Social integrity :SHGs providing support in setting up micro-enterprises e.g. personalised business ventures like tailoring,
grocery, and tool repair shops. Encourages collective efforts for combating practices like dowry, alcoholism etc.
• Gender Equity:SHGs empowers women and inculcates leadership skill among them. Empowered women participate more
actively in gram sabha and elections.the family leading to improvement in their socio-economic condition.
• Changes In Consumption Pattern :It has enabled the participating households to spend more on education, food and

• The Public distribution system (PDS) is an Indian food Security System established under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and
Public Distribution
• The centre procures food grains from farmers at a minimum support price (MSP) and sells it to states at central issue prices.
• It is responsible for transporting the grains to godowns in each state.
• States bear the responsibility of transporting food grains from these godowns to each fair price shop (ration shop), where the
beneficiary buys the food grains at the lower central issue price.

 Today I visit a Ration shop in our Area on 11:00 , Approximatley I Spent 3 hours . I Communicated with the depo dealer
and get the following information.

10.  The ration shop opens at 8:00a.m. but there is no daily crowd outside the shop. There is crowd usually on the days
when the grain is being distributed to the yellow card holders people .Have PDS card issued for the families having
income lower than the poverty line..
 As our government introduced the new Scheme Ration Door Delivery . It becomes easier to distribute the ration
with help of volunteers and also it reduces the Crowd outside the shop.
 Rice, sugar, dal eatables are sold at the shopshop available at lower price.

13. A VISIT TO AN OLD AGE HOME

 Date:22/07/2022
 REPORT: I visited an Old Home along with my Brother and we spent Approximately 3 hours with them.We met with the
supervisor of the old Age home and we took the permission to visit and Communicate with the Aged persons and we asked
about the strength of that old age home.He gave permission to visit and he told 35 members were reside here
 After getting the information we purchased 35 biscuits packets and Rusk packets in a near shop to us. Then we met these
people's by going to their rooms. And we distributed the packets among old people.
 They feel Happy and asked my name and which place I came from? In this way our communication is started and they also
shown their mess And there are 3 halls with provided sufficent facilities to them. And a kitchen is also provided so, that
members have freedom to prepare their own dish and also there is an office room , and medical treatment is also provided.

15. • Some of the aged peoples Hobbies were :
• Spending their time By reading . Reading is a fantastic activity for older adults.
• Exercise regularly. ...
• Have fun with happy visitors. ...
• Play games! ...
• Enjoy movies, TV shows, or music.
 Some of Aged peoples were reading books In evening time and
 some of them were playing plane cards.they all together as a family.
I promised myself that I will never leave my parents like this and
we told that we will come again to visit in future.

17. ITEGRATED CHILD DEVELOPMET AND SERVICE(ICDS)

Today i started my survey at 10:00Am and ended at 1:00Pm.Nearly in spent 3 hours in angawadi,Along with 9 kids. I
Taught them how to write alphabets and they were tried too spell the names as shown in the chart .All we spent
together at playing and trying. and they drawn some pictures .As they under government sector they were served
with the healthy meals which are consist of good nutritious , the children under the age group of 36-72 months
Government provide them food like Hot cooked meals comprising of rice,dal,leafy vegetables,sambar with
vegetables and boiled egg .provide nutritious food everyday except for sunday.

 Milk,Groundnut chekki,oil packets,ragi(finger millet),sajji(pearl millet),Jonna(Jowar),Jaggery.

23. HELPING STRAY DOGS AND CAT
The life of a street dog is Miserable.In our street there is a Dog ,it is very lean and thin and it is dirty,it is barkingand
it is looking like hungry,it wanders from house to house to get some food.At night it is without an shelter it sleeps
whenever it finds a place to lie,in any weather condition.It is difficult to find a place to sleep at rainy.when it goes to
other street for food ,then the fellow-dogs will drive it away.
 As a street dog it is hated by one and all.In Cities,Stary dogs are killed beacause they are nuisance and spread
disease.some people Torture the dogs(beats very hard) they turn mad and bite people .
 I Helped the Street dogs by arranging some food and gave a shelter to them.
 Benefits of Growing up a dog is it can increase fitness,lower stress and improve happiness and it also helps to
perform some specific task,acts as a faithfull companions.if we trained or guided your pet to perform work for a
person with disability and to help to a blind person
