Community service analysis
- 1. -304800-447675I chose towrite an analysis on the time when I went to Pattaya for a weekend with my friend in May of my Sophmore year to work with Habitat for Humanity. I don’t have any photos of that weekend, but the photo above is the logo for Habitat for Humanity. I also chose to write on this experience because I feel that it has been one of the most rewarding times I’ve had through out my high school career. The WoK that influenced my experience would have to primarily be emotion. I feel that that is the only WoK because when you’re working hands-on, you don’t get too influenced by reason, perception or language.<br />The reason I chose emotion is because of the sense of accomplishment I had after the weekend was over. I felt really good about myself, and my friend, and what we had accomplished together for these people who didn’t have a home. This type of emotion is so much different than the kind that I get from dance of photography. That is because I learned a lot about myself, what I can do, what I can’t, and what it would be like without a home (even though I stayed at a hotel). Even thought this trip was only a weekend, I felt so good that I helped these people live better, now that they had a home.<br />I chose to talk about emotion because I think it is really important to know the basis of it, and because of Senior Seminar, I have really expanded my knowledge of emotion. My knowledge now is better than it was before because now I can relate to experiences like Habitat and say that the emotion was amazing. I’m glad that I did this, and I can’t wait to do it again in February for GCW.<br />
