Community service, especially environmental projects, is an activity I enjoy that contributes to personal and professional development. Last year, I proposed a tree planting project in underserved neighborhoods to raise awareness of pollution and each person's role in reducing it. Citizens planted palm trees as symbols of returning paper and carbon dioxide consumed back to the planet. This activity aligns with my university's social entrepreneurship focus and will help me lead sustainable development projects with a wider, more critical vision in both my career and personal life.

ABSTRACT: Indonesia is the second-largest plastic waste contributor in the world. This condition certainly
needs to be observed and followed up. This paper records the efforts of the Indonesian government in realizing
a zero-waste program to overcome various waste problems in Indonesia and highlights the variations of zero
waste programs carried out in multiple provinces. This paper also attempts to map the position of the librarian
as a zero waste warrior. Librarians can strengthen their role as managers and providers of various sources of
information needed to educate the public in making waste a new resource for improving the quality of life.

1. I. Show us an activity you enjoy doing. Tell us how you think it contributes to your personal and
professional development
All our actions have a direct effect on our society as well as in our planet. Community service has always
been part of my favorite activities, not only helping people but also animals even environmental issues
through local projects. In October last year I proposed a project to planting trees in all the free areas of
Municipal condominiums of the less favored districts. The objective of the activity was to create
conscience on the critical pollution environmental situation we live nowadays, and the role of each person
to contribute diminishing this critical situation. Each citizen planted a palm tree as a symbol to return to the
planet all paper and carbon monoxide we consume. This activity is aligned with IE´s commitment focused
in social entrepreneurship that will help me to have a wider and critical vision when I take part in projects.
In the same way, I will reinforce my capacity to direct the activities I perform in relation with a sustainable
development not only in my professional field but also in my personal goals.
