Having good communication by health
care workers will reduce their
anxiety and build
their confidence.
2. GOOD COMMUNICATION HELPS PATIENTS TO FEEL IN CONTROL
 Once enter to health system give up control.
 Simple everyday things (Eating, Sleep, Wash).
 Need dictation from health professionals.
 Losing control can make people feel helpless and hopeless.
 This is not good for boosting their chances of recovery from illness.
 Good communication can avoid these feelings.
3. GOOD COMMUNICATION MAKES PATIENTS FEEL VALUED
The most precious thing we can give to another person is our time.
When we show we’re prepared to lay aside all the other things we need
to do to spend time with someone, to listen to them, get to know them
and understand how they are feeling, we’re showing that we really
value that person. Being able to communicate well helps us achieve this
with patients.
