Commercially Pure Grade 2 Titanium is one of the most common grades of unalloyed titanium. It has good corrosion resistance and formability due to controlled chemistry and is stronger than CP Grade 1 but weaker than higher grades. CP Grade 2 titanium is used in chemical, marine, medical, recreational and aerospace industries and is available as rod, plate or sheet to specifications like ASTM B348 Grade 2. It has defined maximum compositions of alloying elements and minimum tensile properties.
