DAY ONE
For the next few days, we are going to
work on a project that involves
collaboration, design thinking, and
creativity. (Of course, all of this will be
presented in French. Yay!)
2. OBJECTIVE
• Using stop-motion techniques, learners will
work collaboratively to design a commercial
on the global impact of an organization that
they envisioned.
3. Soyons créatifs!
In today’s job market, employers are looking more and more for
individuals who not only speak more than one language, but can bring
design thinking to the table.
Students around the country are creating and inventing new things
that could potentially impact our world for the better.
Let’s start thinking about how we can impact our world in a positive
way today!

5. TASK
DAY ONE :
1. Choose ONE partner.
2. Brainstorm ideas to make this world a better place. It
must have a global impact. (See next slide for details.)
3. Develop a script for your stop-motion commercial.
Supporting details are needed.
4. Make a list of available supplies that you will need to
create this commercial.

6. GUIDELINES
• Mission (Le but) : What are your objectives to
make this a better world through this
organisation?
• Who : Who would be involved in this project?
• What : What resources (les ressources) do you
need?
• How : What actions will you take to accomplish
your goals?
• Slogan/Message : What simple words/phrase(s)
could you use to make your organization known
by way of this commercial?

*Tip: If using paper as a background, tape it
down first.
9. TASK
DAY TWO:
1. Finish your script in French.
2. Create your stop-motion animation with
classroom supplies. Rehearse before you take
photos.
3. Once you have your photos, import them in to
the Stop Motion Studio app (Free.) (You can import
it into iMovie via your camera roll afterwards.
4. Begin editing your commercial. (You’ll add
voice/music tomorrow.)

11. TASK
DAY THREE:
1. Decide who will speak when.
2. Save your video to camera roll via the stop-motion app.
3. Import your stop-motion video into iMovie via your Camera
Roll if you want to do more editing.
4. Edit your photos. (Not long enough? Copy some photos
and paste them one or two times. This will make that
photo run longer.)
5. Time your recording with the the Stopwatch in the Clock
app. (Add more photos or copy /paste some to extend
your commercial, if need be.)
6. In a QUIET place, record your commercial. Use the mobile
sound lab, the hallway(if quiet), or the study room in the
library.
