Dolphins eat fish, squid and shellfish. When young, they drink their mother's milk. Dolphins live in groups in oceans around the world. They are mammals that give birth to live calves, which stay with their mothers for up to 18 months. Dolphins have streamlined bodies with fins, blowholes for breathing air, and echolocation abilities to hunt prey. However, they are endangered due to getting caught in fishing nets.
Dolphins have fins, two eyes, one nostril, a mouth with teeth, and a tail. Their skin is smooth and dark gray. Dolphins are not fish - they breathe air at the surface while fish breathe underwater. Dolphin babies are born alive from their mother's womb and nurse milk. Dolphins eat squid, fish, and lobsters, catching them with their teeth and swallowing them whole without chewing. Dolphin mothers are helped by other dolphins when giving birth to protect them from sharks. The babies are nursed until their teeth come in and stay in the middle of the group under watch of a grandmother figure. Dolphins make clicking sounds with their lips and blowhole to communicate with each
The students decided to study dolphins for their project. They learned about dolphin anatomy both inside and out. They discovered dolphins are mammals that breathe air, give birth to live young, and nurse their babies with milk. Dolphins communicate through clicks, grow quickly as babies, and enjoy playing and jumping in the water. The class researched dolphins on the internet, in books and videos. They created a presentation and song to share what they learned about dolphins.
This document lists common types of fish and seafood that dolphins may eat, including cod, hake, mackerel, sardines, tuna, sea bream, anchovies, squid, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, and crab. The document appears to be part of a classroom lesson plan from the 2012-2013 school year at the José Echegaray School in Martorell.

The document summarizes various physical characteristics of dolphins in response to questions from children. It describes that dolphins are born from their mother's womb like humans, have three parts to their body - head, trunk and fins as limbs, and have 80 teeth used to grasp and swallow food whole rather than for chewing. It also notes that dolphins need to surface every two minutes to breathe through a hole in their head called a blowhole, and can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes.
The students in the class studied fish as their class project. They researched fish, created an index of what they wanted to learn, organized the information on a classroom mural, and experimented. They learned about how fish breathe, move, are born, eat and digest food, float, and more. They decorated their classroom door and set up an aquarium as part of their project.
- Types of fish, how they look, where they live, how they sleep, what they eat (why big fish eat small fish), how they breathe (if they leave water they suffocate), how they are born, and more.
- Through books, documentaries, and a visit from Nacho and his fish store, they learned about many different types of fish and sea creatures.
- They studied fish anatomy and learned fish have streamlined bodies to swim, scales for protection, and different parts like fins for movement and balance.

6. -Tothom es pensa
que els dofins som
peixos perquè vivim
al mar. Però no! Els
dofins som mamífers.
Som uns animals
que com els humans
hem de sortir a fora
de l’aigua per
respirar i cuidem als
nostres fills fins que
són grans o per tota
la vida.
començar a explicar:
Je, je, je, je, je..................
nedar.
nosaltres. Ara tornaré a casa i li explicaré a la
mare l’aventura que he viscut.
- Adéu dofins, amics meus, ens veiem aviat.
Adéu!
