A teaching artist is an artist who teaches and integrates their art form into various curricula, including K-12 schools, after school programs, and other community organizations. The College of Visual Arts offers courses and a practicum experience to prepare their students to become teaching artists. These opportunities allow students to gain hands-on experience teaching art in school and community settings while still in college.

agencies and social service agencies.
