Fran O'Neill is an Australian-born artist who currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She received her MFA from Brooklyn College in 2012 and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions. O'Neill has also held administrative and teaching positions at several arts institutions, including New York Studio School, Brooklyn College, and Pratt Institute. She coordinates programs, oversees budgets, hires faculty, and teaches courses in painting, drawing, color theory, and design. O'Neill's work focuses on abstract and conceptual ideas through painting.
Openings, a collective of visual artists whose mission is to explore the connections between creativity and transcendence, will sponsor our 7th annual art exhibition featuring the work of 37 diverse artists that will run from Sept. 13 – Oct. 25, with the opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 19th from 7-9 pm inside the church. There will also be an Artist’s Walk Thru tour of the exhibition with the curators and many of the exhibiting artists talking and answering questions about their work on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd from 7-9pm.

This Ppt describes the first college level teaching artist educational program developed in a four year accredited college. The program reached over 10,000 Minneapolis/ St. Paul Schools children and community participants, 300 classroom teachers , 100 teaching artists before the college suddenly closed its doors in 2013. Participants in the program went onto to support and influence the arts community in Minnesota and the nation through their work in museums, schools, parks, K-12 and higher education and community arts organizations. This program was created, directed and implemented by Professor Lynda Monick-Isenberg for the College of Visual Art with support from the McKnight Foundation, The Bush Foundation, Lea Foundation.
