This PowerPoint helps students to consider the concept of infinity.
Cohort 3 insights - CSH
1. I think CSH might provide a
good lens for investigating
corruption in sports such as
doping.
My issue is the desire to link data between the PBS & MBS -
Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and Medicare Benefits Schedule. Despite
the value in this linkage, it has not been mandated, legislated or
implemented by govt. Stakeholders include data owners, legislators,
health bureaucrats, health providers, funders, etc, ... and the patients
who will benefit greatly.
Mine is around the movement of Systems Program Office (SPO)
personnel into one of six Centres of Expertise (CoE). Boundaries are
not clear for how SPOs will continue to manage staff when the CoE will
hold the budget for training and potentially task and manage
performance of staff allocated to them.
I think this approach would be useful in Machinery of Government changes ('mogging') underway to build the Digital Transformation
Agency - vastly different cultures and ways of working need to be taken into account. The organisation's outcomes also need to be
determined.
My problem is the challenge in introducing new (but as yet undeveloped)
safeguarding legislation for PWD. As it currently stands the NDIA is only considering
applying the new legislation for providers registered with the NDIS for people with
disability who have an eligible plan for services. This leaves a significant gap in
services for any person with disability who receives services such as employment
services, schools, hospitals, etc. As evidenced on recent 4 Corners programs there
are many people in PWD lives who have no restrictions on their current practices and
that PWD are more than 3 times more likely to be subjected to abuse.
The challenge for me is that the safeguarding legislation covers anyone involved in
providing services to PWD.
My issue is around the
restructuring of system
program offices within Defence
as part of a First Principles
Review where CASG has
contracted an organisation to
do a rationalisation but has
mandated the methodology of
data collection and analysis.
The ACT Government is building a light rail network. Stage 1 of
the project is from the City to Gungahlin in the north. This
12km tram line will cost at least $939 million. This involves
cutting all the trees in the Northbourne Avenue median strip,
as well as causing traffic disruptions for the next two years
during construction. Support for the Project is varied within the
Canberra community. It would be useful to analyse this
challenge by answering Ulrich's 12 boundary questions.
My topic is looking at the systems in involved in sustaining and
maintaining complex military material. There can be up to 14 contracts
required to gt a fighter, ship, submarine etc. into the field, and each
contractor can blame the other for a failure of the capability isn't where it
needs to be, when it needs to be there and in the right configuration. ON
top of that each Contractors has a number of sub-contractors and third
parties in their set.
