CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
PREAMBLE
WE, THE CogniTech CLUB COUNCIL, IMPLORING THE AID OF ALMIGHTY
GOD INORDER TO DEVELOP AND TRAIN STUDENTS THROUGH PROBLEM
SOLVING AND ANALYTICAL THINKING FOR TECHNOLOGICAL AND
EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT BY EXPOSING THEM TO ACTIVITIES RELATED TO
SOCIAL, ACADEMIC AND SERVICE TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF
PERSONALITY, STUDENTSHIP, GOVERNANCE AND PROVISION TO NURTURE
SOLIDARITY, DEED AS THE PARTICIPATING ASSOCIATES OF THE INSTITUTIONAL
SUPERVISION, ADVANCE THE CORPORATE WELL –BEING OF THE LEARNERS AND
TO SUCCEED JUST AND BENEVOLENT MILIEU, DO HEREBY PROMULGATE THIS
CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS.

SY 2022 - 2023
ARTICLE I
NAME AND DOMICILE
Section 1. The organization established here in shall be known as the CogniTech Club. Here in referred to
as the CogniTechCLUBCOUNCIL.
Section 2. CogniTech Club Council (CogniTech CLUB) shall be located within Asian College, Dr. V. Locsin
St., Taclobo,DumagueteCity,6200.
ARTICLE II
DECLARATION OF OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS
Section 1. The CogniTech Club Council (CogniTech CLUB) shall be autonomous in undertaking programs of
action complementary to the development of the institution as well as the departmental associations through the
cooperationofthestudents.
Section 2. TheCogniTechClubCouncil(CogniTechCLUB)shallhavethefollowingobjectives:
a. To upholdthe ideals ofthe CogniTech Clubgeared towards ensuringwell-rounded and
developedstudents;
b. To developa senseof service andresponsibility amongthe students for the welfare of the
society;
c. To strengthenthe tiesamong thestudents, faculty andadministration byway of discussing
problems and plans through peaceful and intellectual means so that the common good may
reign;
d. Toinitiate andpromoteprograms involvingstudents incampusactivities that are designed to
enhancethedevelopmentofthestudents;
e.Toproviderelevantanddiverseprogrammingandtechnicalexperience;
g.Todevelopusefulcodeinacollaborativeenvironment;and
h.Todeveloptheprofessionalandsocialrelationshipsofitsmembers.
ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Bonafide students of Asian College – Senior High School, taking up Computer
Programming and Consumer Electronics Servicing Strand enrolled in the current school year, SY
2023 – 2024.
Section 2. Students must not have an INC and with no failing grades.
Sector 3. Students must not have any violations that can be found under the Student’s
Handbook.
ARTICLE IV
OFFICERS
Section 1. Officers – The officers shall be composed of: President, Vice-President, Secretary,
Technical Chair, and Program Chair
Section 2. Eligibility – Officers must be bonafide students of Asian College – Senior High
School, taking up Computer Programming and Consumer Electronics Servicing Strand enrolled
in the current school year, SY 2023 – 2024.
Section 3. Election – The officers shall be elected by manual voting at the first meeting of the
club.
Section 4. Term – The officers shall serve one school year and their term of office shall begin on
the day they are elected.
ARTICLE V
DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1. President – The president shall:
a. Preside over meetings;
b. Schedule meetings and events as well as notify members of meetings and
events; and
c. Carry out elections for the next term.
Section 2. Vice-President – The Vice-President shall:
a. Assist the President in presiding over meetings; and
b. Take the place of the President if unavailable.
Section 3. Secretary – The Secretary shall:
a. Record the summary of all meetings; and
b. Keep a file of the club’s records.
Section 4. Technical Chair – The Technical Chair shall setup necessary software, hardware, and
any other computer components needed by members.
Section 5. Program Chair – The program Chair shall choose and propose project ideas.
ARTICLE V
ADVISOR
Section 1. Selection – Teachers handling Consumer Electronics and Computer Programming
subject shall be appointed as the advisor.
Section 2. Duties – The responsibilities of the faculty advisor shall be to:
a. Maintain an awareness of the activities and programs sponsored by the student
club;
b. Meet on a regular basis with the leader of the student club to discuss
upcoming meetings, long range plans, goals, and problems of the club;
c. Provide direction in the area of parliamentary procedure, meeting facilitation,
group-building, goal setting, and program planning; and
d. Work as an educator and mentor to members.
ARTICLE VI
RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS
Section 1. Members in good standing shall have the following rights:
a. To participate in all deliberation;
b. To participate in any activity undertaken by the CogniTech CLUB council;
c. To be informed of the rules and regulations;
d. To petition the proper authorities for redress of grievances, present views and
opinions conducive to broad, sound and healthy thinking of vital issues
concerning the welfare of the students;
ARTICLE VII
COMMITTEES
Section 1. Technical Committee – Attend and actively participate in Technical Committee
meetings. The Technical Committee is responsible for organizing, promoting, and monitoring the
technical activities in their respective specific areas of interest.
Section 2. Project Committee – Develop programs through the use of technologies.
MISSION
Our mission is to equip students with a strong foundation of basic sciences and domain
knowledge of Electronics and Programming, so that they are able to creatively apply their
knowledge to the solution arising in their career path.
VISION
To contribute to the society through excellence in programming, technical education, and
innovation.
CORE VALUES
We aim to spark curiosity in students and guide them to create innovative projects.
