THE KITSON ROOM
The Kitson Room has been named in honour of Mr. W. H. Kitson
who declared The Raffles Hotel open in 1937.
This elegant and stylish area provides the ideal guest experience within a setting of
privacy and comfort overlooking Perth’s majestic Swan River.
The Kitson Room accommodates up to 60 people for a cocktail style event, or can be
tailored for an intimate dining experience for up to 32 guests.
The space is also available for corporate events.

THE HIGHWAY BAR
With superb sweeping panoramic views of the Swan River, Highway Bar is a bright and
spacious area located on the first floor of Raffles Hotel. A private balcony overlooks the
downstairs alfresco area offering guests a unique experience.
The Highway Bar provides our largest space for cocktail style events,
accommodating up to 200 people.

The ground floor of Raffles Hotel offers a combination of internal and alfresco areas,
providing a variety of spaces to suit every social occasion.
Ground level spaces can accommodate stand up cocktail style events for
up to 100 people and seated for up to 40 guests.

AVAILABLE ALL AREAS
Packages include sparkling, white and red wine, draught beers, cider,
still and sparkling water.
All beverage selections, including beverage packages, must be confirmed three weeks
prior to your function. If any wines selected are not availablewe will recommend
alternatives from our main wine list.
Beverages are also available on a consumption basis with a bar tab
arranged prior to your function.

- PARKING / ACCESS -
In addition to street parking there are two convenient
car parking options listed below:
• City of Melville public parking Canning Beach Road
(directly opposite The Raffles Hotel)
• City of Melville public parking Raffles Waterfront
(beneath The Raffles Hotel, entry from Canning
Beach Road)
Both options are ticketed and offer 24 hour parking
• 3 minute walk from Canning Bridge Station (Mandurah
Line).
- DECORATIONS -
If you are considering decorations for your event
please consult the events team to ensure these will
be permitted in the venue.
Please note that confetti or table scatters are not
permitted.
- MUSIC-
Raffles provides our in-house Sonos music system for your
function.
We welcome guests to bring their own music devices
(Smart phone or tablet) to be played through our in-
house system.
DJ entertainment can be booked for exclusive Highway
functions. Please discuss further with your functions co-
ordinator.
Live Music acts are to be authorised on a case by case by
Raffles management.
Noise restrictions do apply.
To ensure the comfort of all patrons, additional AV
equipment and individual music selections cannot be
accommodated for functions in the Raffles Bar and
Alfresco areas (ground floor).
- CAKES -
Patrons are welcome to bring their own cake and self-
serve at no additional cost.
If required, Raffles kitchen can professionally cut, garnish
and serve at 2.5 per person.

- TENTATIVE BOOKINGS -
Tentative bookings will be held for a period of five (5)
days only. The tentative booking will be released if a
signed copy of the booking form along with deposit has
not been received.
It is the client’s responsibility to read all terms and
conditions and raise any queries prior to acknowledging
them formally.
- CONFIRMATION -
Tentative bookings will only be confirmed on receipt
of a signed copy of the booking form and deposit. A
confirmation email with receipts will be sent to the client
from the Raffles functions department.
- DEPOSIT -
A $150 deposit is required to confirm a booking,
unless otherwise stated by The Raffles Hotel.
Exclusive hire functions require a 10% deposit
based on the minimum spend for the area. The deposit
will be deducted off your final bill.
- MINIMUM SPENDS -
Event bookings may require a minimum spend based
on the event requirements and when stipulated,
events must adhere to the minimum spend required
Organisers are liable for the difference in the event
of the minimum spend not being met.
Kitson Room:

Corporate (room only) Monday - Thursday $300.00
Highway Bar:
To be determined with a Raffles Events Co-ordinator
Corporate (room only) Monday - Thursday $800.00
- BYO POLICY -
No beverage is permitted to be bought into the Raffles.
- PAYMENTS -
Pre-payment for food order is required seven (7) business
days prior to the event date by cash or credit card. All
prices are inclusive of GST.
Final balance to be settled upon conclusion of your event.
- CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE -
You are required to advise your final numbers of
attendees seven (7) business days prior to your event.
Payment will be based on final numbers provided or
number of attendees on the day of the event, whichever is
greater.
- AREA ALLOCATION -
Raffles Hotel reserves the right to allocate reservation
areas according to function size and suitability.
Please note requests for specific areas cannot be
guaranteed.
- CATERING REQUIREMENTS -
Food and beverage selections are to be confirmed three
(3) weeks prior to your event.
A catering package from within the current event
kit must be selected when holding an event at
The Raffles Hotel. All guests must be catered for.
Set menus consist of an allocated number of options.
A surcharge may apply if extra choices are required.
Raffles reserves the right to substitute menu items of a
similar quality without notice, due to, but not limited to,
supplier shortages and seasonal change. Raffles reserves
the right to substitute selected beverages with beverages
of equal value if, without notice, the preferred selection is
not available from the supplier.
All dietary requirements will be catered for individually
by The Raffles Hotel chef’s. Special dietary requirements
must be communicated to The Raffles Hotel three weeks
prior to the event.

- RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL -
The Raffles Hotel complies with Western Australian
responsible service of alcohol legislation. All staff
are trained in the liquor licensing accredited ‘RSA’
(responsible service of alcohol) and they may refuse
to serve alcohol to any person who they deem to be
intoxicated. Any intoxicated person is unable to remain
in the venue and must be removed.
In accordance with liquor licensing laws of Western
Australia, minors are only permitted on the premises in
the direct company of their parent or legal guardian and
may be asked to leave at the discretion of management.
At no time is a minor permitted to consume alcohol on the
premises.
- AV FACILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT -
It is the organisers responsibility to ensure that any
external AV equipment or devices such as iPod’s,
DVD’s laptops etc. are compatible with Raffles in-house
equipment. You may test any of this equipment at a
mutually convenient time prior to the function. Approval
by management is required should the organiser wish to
hire a band, DJ or any other form of entertainment and
noise restrictions apply.
- SET UP AND DELIVERY -
External AV and production companies are required to
make contact with The Raffles Hotel event staff seven (7)
working days prior to the event. The client should ensure
event staff are advised of all goods/packages to be
delivered and that they are adequately marked with the
contact name, date of the event and contact number.
All equipment must be removed at the conclusion of the
event unless previously arranged with the Raffles
event staff.
- DAMAGES AND CLEANING -
Organisers are financially responsible for any damage
to the building, furniture, fixtures and fittings or property
during and immediately following the function. This
includes any costs for repair or replacement at current
market price. The organisers of the function are also
responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside
contractors or agents prior to, during and after the event.
- CONTENT OF EVENT -
If Raffles has reason to believe that any event/function
will affect the smooth running of the venues, its security or
reputation, management reserves the right to cancel the
event at its discretion without notice or liability.
PRICE VARIATIONS
Every endeavour is made to maintain our prices as
originally quoted to you, however they are subject to
change. Should any increases occur, we will notify you
immediately.
- CANCELLATIONS -
Cancellation of a confirmed function less than four (4)
weeks prior the event date will result in forfeiture of the
deposit.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
The Raffles Hotel will not be held responsible for the loss of, or damage to, property left
on premise prior to, during or after an event.
The client is required to inform all relevant persons involved in the organisation of the event,
including colleagues or contractors of Raffles terms and conditions outlined herein.
By signing this acceptance form, I understand and accept the above listed terms and conditions
including all deposit and cancellation policies.

This elegant and stylish area provides the ideal guest experience within a setting of privacy and comfort overlooking Perth’s majestic Swan River. The Kitson Room accommodates up to 60 people for a cocktail style event, or can be tailored for an intimate dining experience for up to 32 guests. The space is also available for corporate events.

A private balcony overlooks the downstairs alfresco area offering guests a unique experience. The Highway Bar provides our largest space for cocktail style events, accommodating up to 200 people.

Please advise your functions co-ordinator in of your requirements in advance. - LED 60 inch TV - Microphone - Lectern - Whiteboard - ROOM CAPACITIES - Raffles Bar & Alfresco: Cocktail Style – 100 guests Seated – 40 guests Highway Bar: Cocktail Style – 200 guests Seated - 100 guests Exlcusive use - 85 guests minimum The Kitson Room: Cocktail Style – 60 guests Seated – 32 guests - PARKING / ACCESS - In addition to street parking there are two convenient car parking options listed below: • City of Melville public parking Canning Beach Road (directly opposite The Raffles Hotel) • City of Melville public parking Raffles Waterfront (beneath The Raffles Hotel, entry from Canning Beach Road) Both options are ticketed and offer 24 hour parking • 3 minute walk from Canning Bridge Station (Mandurah Line). - DECORATIONS - If you are considering decorations for your event please consult the events team to ensure these will be permitted in the venue. Please note that confetti or table scatters are not permitted. - MUSIC- Raffles provides our in-house Sonos music system for your function. We welcome guests to bring their own music devices (Smart phone or tablet) to be played through our in- house system. DJ entertainment can be booked for exclusive Highway functions. Please discuss further with your functions co- ordinator. Live Music acts are to be authorised on a case by case by Raffles management. Noise restrictions do apply.   • 15. THE RAFFLES HOTEL PAGE 15 - TENTATIVE BOOKINGS - Tentative bookings will be held for a period of five (5) days only. The tentative booking will be released if a signed copy of the booking form along with deposit has not been received. It is the client’s responsibility to read all terms and conditions and raise any queries prior to acknowledging them formally. - CONFIRMATION - Tentative bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of a signed copy of the booking form and deposit. A confirmation email with receipts will be sent to the client from the Raffles functions department. - DEPOSIT - A $150 deposit is required to confirm a booking, unless otherwise stated by The Raffles Hotel. Exclusive hire functions require a 10% deposit based on the minimum spend for the area. The deposit will be deducted off your final bill. - MINIMUM SPENDS - Event bookings may require a minimum spend based on the event requirements and when stipulated, events must adhere to the minimum spend required Organisers are liable for the difference in the event of the minimum spend not being met. All prices are inclusive of GST. Final balance to be settled upon conclusion of your event. - CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE - You are required to advise your final numbers of attendees seven (7) business days prior to your event. Payment will be based on final numbers provided or number of attendees on the day of the event, whichever is greater. - AREA ALLOCATION - Raffles Hotel reserves the right to allocate reservation areas according to function size and suitability. Please note requests for specific areas cannot be guaranteed. - CATERING REQUIREMENTS - Food and beverage selections are to be confirmed three (3) weeks prior to your event. A catering package from within the current event kit must be selected when holding an event at The Raffles Hotel. All guests must be catered for. Set menus consist of an allocated number of options. A surcharge may apply if extra choices are required. Raffles reserves the right to substitute menu items of a similar quality without notice, due to, but not limited to, supplier shortages and seasonal change. Raffles reserves the right to substitute selected beverages with beverages of equal value if, without notice, the preferred selection is not available from the supplier. All dietary requirements will be catered for individually by The Raffles Hotel chef’s. Special dietary requirements must be communicated to The Raffles Hotel three weeks prior to the event.
  • 16. THE RAFFLES HOTEL PAGE 16 - RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL - The Raffles Hotel complies with Western Australian responsible service of alcohol legislation. All staff are trained in the liquor licensing accredited ‘RSA’ (responsible service of alcohol) and they may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who they deem to be intoxicated. Any intoxicated person is unable to remain in the venue and must be removed. In accordance with liquor licensing laws of Western Australia, minors are only permitted on the premises in the direct company of their parent or legal guardian and may be asked to leave at the discretion of management. At no time is a minor permitted to consume alcohol on the premises. - AV FACILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT - It is the organisers responsibility to ensure that any external AV equipment or devices such as iPod’s, DVD’s laptops etc. are compatible with Raffles in-house equipment. You may test any of this equipment at a mutually convenient time prior to the function. Approval by management is required should the organiser wish to hire a band, DJ or any other form of entertainment and noise restrictions apply. - SET UP AND DELIVERY - External AV and production companies are required to make contact with The Raffles Hotel event staff seven (7) working days prior to the event. The client should ensure event staff are advised of all goods/packages to be delivered and that they are adequately marked with the contact name, date of the event and contact number. All equipment must be removed at the conclusion of the event unless previously arranged with the Raffles event staff. - DAMAGES AND CLEANING - Organisers are financially responsible for any damage to the building, furniture, fixtures and fittings or property during and immediately following the function. This includes any costs for repair or replacement at current market price. The organisers of the function are also responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside contractors or agents prior to, during and after the event. - CONTENT OF EVENT - If Raffles has reason to believe that any event/function will affect the smooth running of the venues, its security or reputation, management reserves the right to cancel the event at its discretion without notice or liability. PRICE VARIATIONS Every endeavour is made to maintain our prices as originally quoted to you, however they are subject to change. Should any increases occur, we will notify you immediately. - CANCELLATIONS - Cancellation of a confirmed function less than four (4) weeks prior the event date will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • 17. THE RAFFLES HOTEL PAGE 17 CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY The Raffles Hotel will not be held responsible for the loss of, or damage to, property left on premise prior to, during or after an event. The client is required to inform all relevant persons involved in the organisation of the event, including colleagues or contractors of Raffles terms and conditions outlined herein. By signing this acceptance form, I understand and accept the above listed terms and conditions including all deposit and cancellation policies.
