In the past year, political news has become more divisive and biased.
Recently, President Donald Trump rallied against tech companies for not promoting news sources equally.
This caused us to wonder, is there REALLY a measurable difference in the news these days?
We set to work by analyzing top articles, engagement metrics, headlines and sentiment data belonging to two news giants - FoxNews and CNN.

25. Here's how we did it!
We analyzed Foxnews.com and Cnn.com via Social Animal to find their
engagement metrics, posting schedules, days that had the most number of
posts and shares.
A list of top performing articles were then organized for the year 2019 (over
500 articles),whose headlines were analyzed to pick the most talked about
topics and keywords. These were used to compare the keywords from the
total number of articles (over 10k) from both sites.
Social Animal's headline analyzer picked up power words and
helped us sort through sentiments.
26. Here's how we did it!
We then manually sorted through news articles to compare different
headlines that represent the same news.
Effective engagement in different social media platforms were obtained by
collecting data from Social Animal's Facebook search and by looking at top
shared articles on twitter.
The influence of celebrities and journalists was identified by using the
Influencer Search tool which also shows the articles they've shared.
