Process of LIVE reporting
• Coordinated process
• Several things take place simultaneously
• Reporter is present at the location
• Equipments: OB Van or LIVE U
• Reporter observes and explains the event
• Up linking and down linking
• Live from different locations.
• Different inputs comes to PCR
• Signals from the studio camera covering
anchor also reaches to PCR
• Technical staff in PCR keep switching between
various signals.
Common Terms
• Logsheet: list mentions OK takes along with
the time codes
• ETA: Estimated time of Arrival
• TC: Timecode; a numeric code which appears
near the bottom of the screen
• Ingest: it is a technical facility with its own
staff. It consists of a server to which various
computers terminals are connected.
• Staff of ingest captures the OK takes
mentioned in log sheet.
