Colt Cloud Storage is a new cloud storage service from Colt Technology Services that provides limitless, scalable, and secure storage in a multi-tenant environment. The service offers metadata-driven policies and multiple access methods through APIs. Data is stored across Colt's four initial locations in London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Madrid with options for customers to choose the location and number of copies. The service is designed to address common use cases like backup, tiering, mobility, web development, and content management.

- #8 Let’s take a closer look at the EMC Atmos Cloud Delivery Platform. Unlike storage silos, EMC Atmos provides you with a single system across your location . This allows you to scale out seamlessly . For example, you can add capacity to your New York or the UK sites with zero need to rewrite applications. Plus you can introduce new applications to the Atmos cloud without having to specifically tie them to storage systems or locations. This saves IT development time, and retains a high level of service. As we mentioned early, Atmos provides your data with the SMART logic it needs to automate data placement, protection, and services. Manual tasks won’t scale to billions of objects, Automation is key to reducing risk, ensuring availability, and reducing the need for IT manual intervention. With your Cloud storage system in place, you’ll need to make sure you can easily access your data across networks and platforms .
