A Digipak is a type of paperboard packaging that holds CDs or DVDs. It consists of a folded paper outer binding with an attached plastic tray inside to hold the disc. The Oasis music video "Live Forever" influenced the author's own video through its editing of colors. While the video does not follow a narrative and simply mixes live performances with random scenes, its use of close-ups of the band playing instruments and changing of colors throughout are techniques the author aims to emulate. Specifically, the author plans to use color editing and close-ups of their own band to keep the audience focused on the video and link the visuals to their upbeat song.
We conducted audience research through online surveys and in-person questionnaires to understand how to improve our metal music video. The online survey received few responses, but provided useful feedback. It showed that our target audience was 75% male, aged 16-21, who listened to this music very often. Respondents said the video could be more interesting by adding different shot types to avoid repetition. Later feedback suggested changing the "cartoon" lighting effect to better fit the genre. Audience feedback also recommended editing to the conventions of 4/8 beat sequences to improve pacing and engagement. The feedback helped us understand how to make the video more fast-paced and interesting for our young target audience.

Laura Young created a short film with her group that had to meet certain criteria. She also created a poster and double page spread as ancillary tasks to advertise the film. The poster had to catch viewers' attention and introduce the characters and actors. The double page spread provided more context about the story and production to create interest. Both pieces were meant to advertise the film through visuals and descriptions to potential audiences and get the name of the film recognized before its release. Laura aimed to link the designs and color schemes between the poster and spread for consistency and to reinforce the advertising message. She analyzed other examples to understand conventions but aimed for originality in her own designs.

The document discusses debates around the lack of ethnic diversity among indie bands. It notes that the ethnic makeup of indie bands generally reflects the ethnic makeup of its audience, which in the UK is around 1-2% non-white. It suggests that the aesthetics of indie, which include themes of melancholy, poverty, and simplicity, may not appeal to marginalized groups who have genuine experiences of poverty and outsiderness. However, it also points out that globally, there are many non-white indie bands, such as from Indonesia, showing that the indie aesthetic can be meaningful in different cultural contexts.

The document summarizes the key elements of a billboard advertisement. The masthead, featuring the brand name Chanel in a recognizable font, is centered at the top to attract the most attention. Below is a smaller sub-heading identifying the product in the same font for consistency. Neutral colors are used throughout to match the product and give a polished, professional look.

Rethinking Kållered │ From Big Box to a Reuse Hub: A Transformation Journey ...SirmaDuztepeliler
"Rethinking Kållered │ From Big Box to a Reuse Hub: A Transformation Journey Toward Sustainability"
The booklet of my master’s thesis at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. (Gothenburg, Sweden)
This thesis explores the transformation of the vacated (2023) IKEA store in Kållered, Sweden, into a "Reuse Hub" addressing various user types. The project aims to create a model for circular and sustainable economic practices that promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and a shift in societal overconsumption patterns.
Reuse, though crucial in the circular economy, is one of the least studied areas. Most materials with reuse potential, especially in the construction sector, are recycled (downcycled), causing a greater loss of resources and energy. My project addresses barriers to reuse, such as difficult access to materials, storage, and logistics issues.
Aims:
• Enhancing Access to Reclaimed Materials: Creating a hub for reclaimed construction materials for both institutional and individual needs.
• Promoting Circular Economy: Showcasing the potential and variety of reusable materials and how they can drive a circular economy.
• Fostering Community Engagement: Developing spaces for social interaction around reuse-focused stores and workshops.
• Raising Awareness: Transforming a former consumerist symbol into a center for circular practices.
Highlights:
• The project emphasizes cross-sector collaboration with producers and wholesalers to repurpose surplus materials before they enter the recycling phase.
• This project can serve as a prototype for reusing many idle commercial buildings in different scales and sizes.
• The findings indicate that transforming large vacant properties can support sustainable practices and present an economically attractive business model with high social returns at the same time.
• It highlights the potential of how sustainable practices in the construction sector can drive societal change.
