Clipping Mask
Hayley McCarthy
GCE AS Media Studies
City College Norwich
I used a clipping mask to make the barcode image fit into the curve of the circle
shape. A clipping mask hides the unwanted part of an image, by fitting the image
into a shape.
Saturday, 28 September 13
1. First I selected the
layer of the
barcode. I
ensured that the
layer was above
the circle to
create the desired
effect.
2. I then
right-
clicked on
the layer
and
scrolled
down to
the 'Create
Clipping
Mask'
button.
3.
Clicking on this
caused the barcode
layer to be
indented, creating
the clipping mask.
4.
This is the final result, with the only visible
barcode being that placed inside the circle.
