Clear Blue Digital accuracy in the afternoon?
Took a Clear Blue Digital at 2:00PM the day before my expected AF and got a BFN. Is there a
chance I could be pregnant and got a false negative? How accurate are these things in the
afternoon?
Did the BD when I was possibly ovulating (cycle ranges from 25-31 days) and have been feeling
nasua and fatigue for the past week.
DH and I are not trying to get pregnant but would be more than thrilled if we were!

in the afternoon and using a digital will most likely higher your chances of getting a false
negative.

Well today i have taken 7 pregnancy tests and they all come bk positive but I went and had one
done at doctors and it was negative so then I went morrisons tonight and bought a clear blue
digital and its come up pregnant 1-2 so does this mean im pregnant or could it be wrong i jsut
dont get why the docs one would cum bk neg

You’re pregnant. Clearblue tests are over 99% accurate at detecting normal amounts of hCG. I
could see if perhaps one test gave you a positive result there might be room for doubt but not 7.
Call the doctor again and request a blood test; tell them how many tests you’ve taken. If you
are only 1-2 weeks into your pregnancy then it’s possible the doctor’s test just wasn’t as
sensitive. The only reasons a woman would get a false positive:
Chemical pregnancy – a very early miscarriage. Most women who have chemical pregnancies
don’t ever know they’re pregnant, but with early detection tests it is possible to get a positive
result and then a week later get your period.
Evaporation line – If you look at a traditional line test outside of the testing time (usually more
than 10 minutes) you may see a faint line in the “positive” window. Since you took a digital test
this doesn’t apply.
Drug reactions – if you are taking fertility medication that contains hCG it may cause you to get
a false positive result. Another user said that birth control caused a friend to have false positives
but unfortunately this just isn’t true. Birth control pills do not contain hCG; they contain estrogen
and progestin. Home pregnancy tests look for neither.

I took a clear blue pregnancy test it said “PREGNANT” and I was so excited. I took two other
different brands and they both came back negative, because I have not missed my period yet I
figured it was just too soon for those tests. I looked online and I saw a few people had false
positives with clear blue digital. I was just wondering how often these false positives happen?
Has this happened to anyone? I don’t want to get my hopes up if this happens often.

I did a clearblue digital pregnancy test 2-3 days after my period was due and got a ‘pregnant’
with 1-2 weeks since I conceived. Does this mean that I conceived 1-2 weeks ago (fertilisation)
or implanted 1-2 weeks ago?
