8. a)SEROUS TUMORS
Serous carcinoma. The tumor cells cover papillae
and grow in sheets. They have large vesicular nuclei with
coarse chromatin, and some have prominent nucleoli.
MALIGNANT: mixture of cystic,
papillary, and solid growth.
Low-grade serous
carcinoma
High-grade serous
carcinoma
13. ENDOMETROID TUMOR
Endometrioid adenofibroma. Glands lined by a
single layer of benign endometrial-type cells
grow in dense fibrous stroma.
Borderline endometrioid tumor,
glandular pattern seen
16. CLEAR CELL TUMOR
CLEAR CELL ADENOFIBROMA:
cuboidal to low columnar cell, hobnail
nuclei
CLEAR CELL CARCINOMA: cuboidal to
columnar tumor cell, nuclei are
pleomorphic
17. e)BRENNER TUMORS: a type of
adenofibroma in which nests of transitional epithelium grow in a fibrous
stroma. solid fibrous tumor
BENIGN:
Brenner tumour
BORDERLINE:
Borderline Brenner tumour / Atypical proliferative
Brenner tumour
MALIGNANT:
Malignant Brenner tumour
19. MALIGNANT BRENNER TUMOR:when a
benign or proliferating Brenner tumor is found adjacent
to transitional cell carcinoma, the tumor is designated as a
malignant Brenner tumor.
