This document outlines a research study to examine the motivations and behaviors of classical music tourists. The purpose is to help classical music organizations attract more audiences and benefit tourism. Key research questions focus on segmenting visitors, their motivations and demands, and how organizations can improve. A literature review found that music festivals attract people for various reasons beyond just music, and classical concert attendees have diverse influences like education and ticket prices. The proposed research design uses questionnaires and focus groups to understand perceptions and collect demographic data from classical music audiences. The findings will be analyzed using SPSS and are expected to segment visitors and identify music and non-music factors affecting attendance. The results aim to provide organizations with insights to attract more national and international attendees.
