2. Welcome to the Course – Our Agenda for
Tonight
• Introductions
• What is learning? An exercise to introduce five theoretical
orientations
• Developing a philosophy of practice as a medical educator
• Joining the course blog site on Rampages
• Review of expectations and assignments
• An introduction to the readings for the semester
5. USING RAMPAGES: Logging in once the site is
restricted to our class
• Look for an email to “join” the site
• Each time, you will need to login to Wordpress with your VCU email address and
a password; if you have left the site without logging out, the entrance is through
“Login” or “Site Admin”
• Each of you has reading, writing (authoring), and editing privileges – However,
please do not “add” or delete pages.
• Use the COMMENT features for posting responses to blog posts or commenting
to another person in the course.
• Group comments organized according to color: red, green, purple, or blue groups
