Reading tips Keep a wide variety of reading material including different types of books – ‘easy’ books, picture books, reference books, comic books, magazines, etc. Search out books your child will like. Allow your child to make choices.

STELLAR Strategies for English Language Learning And Reading The programme is all about encouraging a love for reading while learning other important language skills in the process. There is nothing like a good book: it may be old-fashioned but it is the best way to get children interested in a language.
STELLAR The Shared Book Approach allows the teacher to ask open-ended questions to encourage critical thinking in the students. The Modified Language Experience Approach (MLEA) allows children to work in groups and individually to rewrite stories in their own words.
STELLAR They also have direct and explicit instruction in grammar, vocabulary and language structures. Teachers are given specific guidelines to suggest ways of teaching language forms and structures, grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation.
Thank you for your time
