Cisco InterCloud Strategy
Cisco's InterCloud strategy aims to build a hybrid cloud by creating interconnects between private clouds, public clouds, and provider-hosted clouds. The strategy includes components like the InterCloud Fabric for provisioning hybrid clouds with policies, and the InterCloud Fabric Extender for extending private clouds to public clouds with secure Layer 2 connectivity. Cisco also seeks to build an ecosystem of cloud partners that have built their infrastructure with Cisco and offer hybrid-ready public clouds.
