This is Tom!
Tom lives at home…
... where he has a great family.
In his neighbourhood…
… Tom has friends to play with.
At school…
… Tom knows all his 30 fellow students...
... and his teacher ;-)
All these people inspire Tom every day.
…
Many more interesting people
live around Tom.
People that Tom has never met.
Who is his mayor?
Does anyone in town work as a
member of parliament?
What is important to the neighbourhood cop?
Curious as he is, Tom would love
to get to know everyone!
As it turns out… so do his class mates!
…
To help Tom and his friends find out,
who does what for children…
… we started the Children’s
International Press Centre®.
An international network of child journalists.
…
Are you as curious as Tom and his friends?
Then lets start finding
inspiring adults around you!
Just like Tom, you and your class
can start your own ChildPressCentre®.
Supervised by your teachers you all go
on a search for interesting adults.
You start your search in a digital
environment and in the media.
For each adult, you try to find out what it is that
moves him, and what he has achieved so far.
As a true journalist, you first do research …
… then try to get in contact …
v
… and finally you make reports in the form of
radio shows, movies and magazines.
v
In school you all share the stories
about the people you met.
Together with your classmates, you make a
selection of the most inspiring adults.
These adults are featured in your own
‘Who Does What for children’ catalogue.
The catalogue shows the different roles
of each adult in society …
… and what his or her talents are.
If you like, you can upload your
videos and interviews.
…
Once a year, we gather the
most inspiring stories of adults worldwide,
and publish them in
the Worlds 500 for children.
…
Join our search for adults who can
make a difference for children!
During the process, you learn to think
and act as a true journalist.
… and you’ll discover that there are many loving,
inspiring and helpful adults, all over the world.
People who can help you
enhance your talents…
… and who’s talents may be of benefit
to you one day.
…
Are you in?
Turn your class room into
a true newsroom!
We will provide you with a CPC worldmap,
a microphone, and a digital platform.
All you need to bring in, is your smartphone
and a good deal of enthusiasm.
We can promise: The adults are
looking forward to meeting you!
