9. Project has to be right for your organisation / Fit with overall organisation strategy

10. Make sure all concerned persons within organisation are aware of project. They need to be on-board.

12. Create clear chain of command. Keep track of all communication and ensure all emails are kept.

13. Ensure the accountant is fully briefed on the project and keep all financial records separate from company accounting.

15. If there are any problems, deal with them upstream.

16. If you feel you can’t supply the required in-kind hours, renegotiate. Don’t invent hours spent on the project!

17. Have regular meetings with staff to ensure that the project is running smoothly in-house.
