2. Farming
Farming was a huge achievement in the stone age. Faming was achieved by nomads
who decided to settle in one place and learned to adapt to the environment by
growing plants. This was called agriculture. The humans found it much more easier
to grow crops in one place, than to keep going out to look for them. They also
started keeping animals. This was called Domestication of animals . Once again they
all found it much easier to domesticate animals than to keep hunting them and
eating the meat.
The benefits from this were that they could do more with the
domesticated animals and the crops they grew themselves. With the animals they
could use their fur when they were dead, and they could keep much warmer in the
long winters. Also for the cows and goats, they learned how to milk them. This was
a huge benefit because this meant that they could drink the milk instead of going to
the stream for water everyday.
This development is so important because without farming, I think today
we would still be hunting for meat and going out to look for crops, for example we
probably would not have the technology that we have today such as computers and
maybe not even cars because no body would have time to make that.
3. Communication
The early communication the people used was cave paintings. Most people think that the
cave paintings were stories being told or warnings. I think later in life humans discovered
movements, and I think that is how they communicated for a while until they discovered
language.
Language has enormous benefits to life because without language nobody would
be able to, again, have the technology we have today because we could not have cave
paintings on computers. Some things that are bad about communication are that we would
not have had the holocaust or the wars. I also don’t think we would have had jobs or
money because we would not be able to do any math's without communication.
This development is so important because without communication we wouldn’t be able to
go to school, or cook with fire because if one man found out about the fire how would he
tell anyone else? The only way other humans would find out would be to see the same
thing, but maybe they wouldn’t think to touch it or think the same things the first man
thought.
