This document outlines the goals and logistics of a mentoring program. The goals for mentees are to develop self-awareness, purpose, fulfillment, confidence, and overcome challenges. Goals for mentors are to grow listening and reflection skills, teach lifelong problem-solving, and guide mentees in growth. Mentors meet with mentees every two weeks in public. The coaching style employs guided questions and selective advice to help mentees reflect and find their own solutions. Meetings should include homework and checking progress. Confidentiality and the mentee's comfort are important. Initial meetings involve sharing backgrounds and life goals. Spiritual topics can be discussed if the mentee is comfortable.
