3. Rehabilitation and extension of a personal building in Lebanon. The project consists of a
luxurious Lebanese Architecture Villa implemented on a modest existing one story building
and a basement constructed on 1964. It includes improving and upgrading of the existing
structure (extension and upgrade of existing foundation, columns jacketing, and new beams
added to existing structure.), extension starting from the underground basement level, till the
Ground floor level, and the addition of two new levels covered by a R.C. pitch roof. My task
started with the preparation of the Architectural and Structural design drawings taking into
consideration the existing building, and covered the construction management and site
supervision for the completed works.

- Senior Technical coordinator for Civil, Architectural, Aluminum unitized system, MEP, and ID for
the CREDIT LIBANAIS PROJECT Beirut Achrafieh Adlieh, with Consultant ERGA Group.
I was supervising, under the P.M. directives, a team of four Architects, in direct contact with 2 MEP
Engineers, and a site team supervised by 15 Engineers.
My responsibility was leading the coordination works with the different subcontractors for the

and Columns considering test results for creep and shrinkage above the 12th

3. Aluminum unitized system, spider façade, and steel structure supporting a skirt cladded by a
cold bent unitized panels, which masks the spider façade from the 7th
floor down till the
second floor, all design and build by the nominated subcontractor, and coordinated with the
civil works for embedded steel plates and halfen channels in the post tension slabs.

The “CREDIT LIBANAIS” A 120 million dollars project, a
52000 m2
, is at its base a typical high rise 34 story building
with 7 basements for parking and other MEP services. In
simple language: it’s a box. A free flowing mesh envelops this
box, while a curved steel column ascends from under this
mesh, raising, manipulating and defining it, characterizing the
project by fluidity and elegance through this graceful inviting
structure, and rendering the project as one that reflects
individuality.
A curved glass wall lies behind the main structure, concealing
the parking and technical spaces, and acting as a backstage
reflecting the life and the energy within the building, while the
space in between this wall and the tower will be the social
interaction heart of the project.

infrastructure for the related power plants, such as electrical duct banks and

pipes to cool the inlet air for the GT’s from 50o

• Inlet Air Cooling System at Riyadh Power Plant PP-9 Blocks E, C, D & F
(56 GT). It includes same description as above.
• Qatar cool-2- cooling plant (30000 tones capacity). A three story R. C.
industrial building for chillers, pumps, transformers, & a control room.
The roof is supporting 6 HRD units and a 1m high water basin.
A basement where pumps are fixed on a raft foundation anchored on
floating piles deep foundation system, with two concrete water storage
tanks 8m high inside the basement, where on the top of the

6. aforementioned water tanks is erected an isolated steel water tank 13m
high for cold water.
• Cup 2 “King Abdul Aziz University” cooling plant which includes R. C.
building cut by 4 expansion joints, with adjacent 6 concrete capacities
units isolated for cold water storage, and concrete pipe rack supports for
HRD area.
• Maarib power plant R. C. office buildings for the 300MW Gas Turbine
Station.

Sep. 2005– BEMCO OFF SHORE: INLET AIR COOLING PROJECTS
July 2007 Inlet Air Cooling System projects is an economic solution for power production
during pick hours demand in Saudi Arabia. It consists of the followings:
• A heat rejection device (HRD) composed by giant coolers ventilators supported on an 8m high steel
structure connected by embedded bolts to a foundation system of concrete pedestals and isolated
footings.
• An isolated steel water storage tank 20m high and 25m/27m diameter with a R. C. ring beam
foundation system.
• A 9m high steel structure compressor building with movable crane for maintenance, connected by
embedded bolts to a foundation system of R. C. pedestals and isolated footings with grade beams to
support the external block walls, and an isolated slab on grade to support mechanical equipment.
• A steel shed for Transformers area, with fire rated separation R. C. walls erected on continuous
footing strips with mat foundations and R. C. pedestal walls for Transformers and their rails.
• Electrical duct bank network and related manholes.
• Steel pipe rack supports for chilled water pipes connected by embedded bolts to a foundation system
of R. C. pedestals and isolated footings.

Feb. 2005 KARAGULLA: PHOENICIA INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL-
May 2005 (rehabilitation, and reconstruction after the 14th of February terrorist attack… )
Our goal was to reopen the 5 stars hotel in the shortest time to make possible
it’s gradual reopening within two months from the 14/02/2005.
My job concerned the 11 story tower A, the 22 story tower B,
and the16 story tower C.
I had to conduct well after rechecking calculation notes and drawings,
the good execution of all aluminum facades and curtain walls.

May 2005 A 54000m²,high standard private residential building with 4 basements;
three valley parking, a health club with swimming pool; shops at ground floor level
and Landscaping.
I was directly Involved in shop drawing preparation and coordination with:
electrical and mechanical plans for the followings:
* Reinforced concrete structure including: raft foundation-shear walls-columns-solid
slabs-ribbed slabs-water tanks-swimming pool-ramps-and stairs.
* Hardscape layout at garden level witch includes
separate sewage and drainage systems , details for fence main gate and lighting poles
* Design and details for balustrade, and cladding mechanical fixation
* Reinforcement around new openings in existing slabs at shops with reinforced

Permit preparation and follow up- structural design and execution of a
6 stories standard controlled reinforced concrete structure for a residential building
with car park and basement; at Naccach- preparation for electrical and mechanical
drawings- participation to the architectural design.
Sept. 2004 PERSONAL PROJECT (ZOUHAIRY STATION) –
Mars 2005 Designer and consultant for the rehabilitation, upgrading and infrastructure
Preparation for equipment installation of an automatic (100 daily) car wash for Zouhairy
station at Wata-el-Msaytbe and a free space mini market area .
I was responsible for design, the preparation of shop drawings, coordination between
alucobond wall finishing subcontractor- topcrete -carpenter-electrical-mechanical
engineers, wash tech Germany and the interior designer for:
* A new underground, three compartment water tank with pumping station.
* A two story steel stair
* demolition of internal walls and erection of new steel structural beams
* New large openings in a long masonry wall supporting residential apartment
* A new infrastructure for a manual and automatic car wash with trenches facilities
for new electrical panel boards cables, serving the hole station.
* Erection and surveying of the car wash equipment on the top of a topcrete finish
surface inside of the new automatic car wash tunnel .
* Sanitary bloc men/women architectural design and follow up with interior designer.
2000-2001 KARAGULLA: PHOENIX COMPLEX –
Phoenix complex is a private residential building with 4 basements as,
valley parking, and shops at ground floor level.
It has an access to the Phoenicia intercontinental hotel and could benefit from all it’s
facilities. It’s a 14 stories tower.
In addition to the mentioned tasks below for Phoenicia intercontinental hotel,
It was my job to:
* Check on reinforcement, prior to any concrete pouring.
* Design to provide new openings in existing slabs
* Design and shop drawing for new steel or concrete stairs,
through new openings in existing slabs due to architectural reasons
*Design and shop drawings for raised steel structures carrying slabs
on isolators to hold heavy duty generators and chillers on the building roof

9. 1997-2000 KARAGULLA: PHOENICIA INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL –
(Rehabilitation, Upgrading and Extension)
A turn key project, value 100Million USD.
Our goal was to rebuild 5 stars hotel .the rehabilitation and upgrading
Concerned the two existing towers. As for the extension, it concerned a
3 basements valley park and a 16 floors tower.
My job was to close coordinate and collaborate with the consultant
the sub contractors and the execution staff, in a way to provide for execution
the best possible plans in the shorter time; for the following subjects:
-secant piles for excavation around existing buildings.
