Choosing A Major And An Idea Of A Career
Choosing a major and an idea of a career you want to pursue, is not an easy choice. There is a lot of thinking that goes into deciding what you want
to study and what you want to become in the future. Most people are not positive even once they have entered college as to what it is for sure they
want to do. This MyPlan assessment was extremely informative in what my skills were and how I could use them. Going to the Career Center on
February 5 really helped me to understand what my results meant and what I could take out of this assessment. We took four tests, a personality,
personal interest, skills, and values test. For my personality test report, there were 4 different categories looked at to come up with a combined
census of what my personality is. You were either, extroverted or introverted, sensor or intuitive, thinker or feeler, and judger or perceiver. My
results showed that I was ESTJ. Which means that I am extroverted, sensor, thinker, and a judger. Extroverts basically respond very well to social
gatherings and like to be around people. They are usually very talkative and tend to work well in teams. Sensors seek specific answers to specific
questions. Usually they do not have a very wide imagination and are more realistic. Thinkers believe that it is important to be right and honest with
themselves than it is to be liked. A thinker seeks fairness and tend to be tough–minded. Judgers appreciate organizations, punctuality, order, schedules,
etc. Judgers tend to

Applications: Utility Concerns in Choosing an Assessment Method
Randy May works for a small airline based on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. He recently won two million in the New England Lottery and decided
to invest his winnings, ultimately, in a chain of ice cream shops in the Cape Cod area to gain potential future earnings. Figuring he had enough money
to open up ice cream shops in both islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, as well as two shops in Falmouth and Buzzards Bay, he signed a
contract with a local builder and began construction of the shops. After beginning the process of construction, he was faced with the next task of hiring
employees to staff the four ice cream shops. Throughout his calculations, he estimated...show more content...

A Time For Choosing Speech Summary
In the speech "A Time for Choosing," a promotion of Barry Goldwater, the 1964 Republican presidential nominee, Ronald Reagan reveals the failure of
the present American government under strong centralized leadership, establishes Goldwater's competence and morality, and emphasizes the necessity
for a drastic change from the current government, that can be achieved through the election of Goldwater. He applies figurative language in order to
convince the audience of the immorality of liberalism and encourage support for Goldwater. Reagan gives this speech during the 1964 presidential
election campaign, well before his debut as a politician, therefore demonstrating a new take on the presidential nominees, not as a politician, but a
highly acclaimed actor and trusted American. His audience, directly conservatives, but including all parties, is able to identify Reagan's credibility
through an overarching unifying tone. This speech sparks Reagan's popularity, eventually leading to his role as head of the republican party, and
America as a whole.. Reagan begins his delineation on the morality of Goldwater and evil of liberalism by indicating the disappointing actions of the
American government. He juxtaposes the humble desires of the wheat farmers of America with the unfortunate contradiction of these requests by the
policies of the federal government. Reagan acknowledges that "The wheat farmers voted against a wheat program. The government passed it anyway"
(16). Reagan implies

Critical Thinking Involved In Choosing A Major
Choosing an academy major somewhat entails much thought and thoughtfulness. Nevertheless, it is the first thing toward developing a foundation
that you will continue to shape on for the remainder of one's life. Some people, before getting to college know exactly what they want to study
(major). But wait, If I may ask, was critical thinking involved in choosing this major? There are thousands of majors out there to choose from and it
doesn't matter what you are majoring in. The most important aspect of choosing any major is looking beyond what people around you are majoring in,
weigh your ability to perform in the chosen major, then ask self–questions like, what are the opportunities that await me? How will my major benefit
me, people around me, and the society at large? Do I have the potential needed to climb to the top of my career in this major? Do I have financial
resources? These and many more self–questions will help in thinking deeply before choosing the major you're about to choose....show more content...
During the process, you use a set of critical thinking skills to consider an issue. At conclusion, you make a judgment about what to believe, or a
decision about what to do". Knowing what you're capable of doing in the field you choose. When you get to college your success depends solely on
you, and you as a student must take charge and "take the bull by the horns". Your determination to succeed will help you excel in college. Be
mentally and physically ready. You must involve critical thinking about what you want to major in to be mentally and physically ready. Set the goal
for yourself and believe you can do it and work harder, surely, success will be

Why I Chose My Topic
Why I Chose My Topic There has been an immense inundation of technological devices in the context of our society. One of the most creative and
modern technologies ruling the world today are the cell phones. Cell phones have completely changed the way of society functions and thus the
communication barriers have been eliminated to a considerable extent. Most of the teenagers today are looking to interact with their relatives and
friends through their cell phones and do not depend on physical interactions. As an electrical engineering major, I have selected cell phones because I
have studied regarding cellular communication in my under–graduation. Results of a survey of 170 student's at large southern university revealed that

Unsurprisingly my list was rather short and it seemed that I had more questions than answers. Cell phones have not just turned into a system for
correspondence; they have advanced into a stimulation device. Since this little, hand–held machines appear to do everything; youthful children ask and
argue for a wireless. The normal age for teenagers to get their own particular wireless is somewhere around 12 and 13. However that doesn 't mean
you won 't see considerably more youthful youngsters with telephones. Around 3 percent of kids get their mobile phone under age 10 and 6
percent get them at age 10. Despite the fact that numerous folks may feel centre school is still excessively adolescent for understudies to have their
own particular wireless, others may feel there are a few preferences to having these contraptions at such a youthful age. They like to have the
capacity to stay in contact with their youngsters so they can take a more dynamic part in guaranteeing their security. Folks can even utilize
programming, for example, wireless parental control programming to keep a closer eye on their kid 's every day exercises. I decided to focus my
research on a few key questions that I had about cell phone usage among young adults. Primarily, I wanted to know how many hours does an average
young adult

Essay On Choosing A Topic
Choosing a topic Choosing a topic is always the first step of any research process. The statement seems simple, but the chosen topic defines all other
stages of the process. In order to choose a topic, one has first to identify a problem whose remedy or eradication calls for research. This is then
followed by the development of a research question. The question forms the statement that serves as the research topic. The topic, which is the focus
of the study, provides keywords for the next stage of research, that is, the literature review.
Reviewing Literature A review of the literature provides more detailed information on the chosen topic. Its purpose is to give the researcher
knowledge that will form the foundation for his or her study and therefore, the information must be related to the topic. Not only does it provide basic
information on the variables in the topic but also covers various relatable studies conducted in the past; how, where they were conducted, and the
conclusions that the researcher(s) came to. Literature can be obtained from a wide variety of sources; newspapers, journals, databases, books,
encyclopedias, digital sources, and much more. Information obtained in this section helps the researcher understand the magnitude of the problem
defined in the first stage, recognize any consequences and gaps that other researchers may have not filled, and identify potential strategies to combat
the problem. It serves as a secondary source of information. Based on

Choosing An Outfit And Dress
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to select an outfit and dress a toddler? Have you ever wondered what frustrations some parents face
every day just to prepare their toddler to go anywhere? Maybe you have heard your peers discussing their experience with dressing their children and
wondered what it was really like? Prepare yourself for a journey through the joys of dressing a toddler. Although there are some of you that can relate
to this experience, there are also some of you that have never ventured this journey.
The first thing I would recommend, is to locate the child's clothing. Whether it be in the closet, or in a dresser. Locate the child's shirts, select the shirt
of your choice for the child. Now, locate the child's pants/shorts, and make a selection appropriate to the weather at the moment. Next you will locate
the child's socks and underwear. Make a selection of socks and appropriate underwear. Some toddlers may not be potty trained resulting in the need of
using pull–ups rather than underwear. Finally you should have a complete outfit for the toddler, and you're prepared to encounter the part that
sometimes can be considered the toughest of the entire process. Although, there are some people that may experience no difficulty in their experiences
dressing toddlers. Each Toddler is going to participate in a different manner and extent.
Now that you have selected an outfit, the potentially hardest part awaits you. Gather the outfit, and the toddler, and

Persuasive Essay On Choices In Life
I believe that everyone in this life has choices. The choices we make define who we are as people and what we stand for. Choosing one path over
another may be the best or worst decision you could ever make. However, once you have chosen, stick to your decision because you made that choice
for a reason. Even if it is to have lunch at a certain restaurant over another, or a bigger decision like choosing your major. Something in your life helped
you make that decision, and the worst thing you can do is live your life with the regret of a choice. If your decision ends up badly, simply make another
choice. Choose a new path. In the words of my oh so wise History teacher, "Never second guess yourself because that's worse than making the
wrong choice in the end." One of the best examples that comes to mind is a story I heard a few weeks ago, based on a real event. In 1979, a man
named Lee Strobel and his family went to a restaurant one evening and he gave his 7 year old daughter a nickel to get a gumball from the machine
and a few moments later, she came back to the table choking on the gum. They didn't know what to do and if they waited for an ambulance they
feared it would be too late. All of a sudden, a woman came up and said that she is a nurse and can help. The woman, after getting the gumball out of
the little girl, told her parents that her and her husband were headed to another restaurant when all of a sudden she made a last minute choice to go
here. Because of her choice, a little girl's life was saved. Hearing stories such as this one, reminds me of all of the choices I have made, and how they
have affected me.
When I was 6, my family up and moved to a new school called Knox County. I loved it there for I had so many friends and nothing bad ever
happened. Then at the end of 5th grade, my dad got a new job so we moved schools again. This time I was 11 and starting middle school at a small
school called Pilot Grove, and I've been here ever since. There are times I catch myself wondering what would've happened if we had stayed in Knox
or the first town I ever lived in, Philadelphia (no not the one in Pennsylvania). Sometimes I even believe that things would be a lot better if we had
stayed there. There are

Abortion I chose to write about the topic of Abortion because it is something most everyone has a strong opinion about, you either fight for or
against it, or not at all but I am sure you have an opinion. As a woman whom has gone through an abortion and not afraid to say it, of course I have
a strong opinion but that doesn't mean I don't think it can be abused. I often find myself thinking about all the other situations girls and women are
often in and find themselves making a hard decision. What rights should we have? Should we be ashamed? Is it moral? These are just a fraction of
questions to be answer but if I know one thing I believe women have a right to decide what to do with their own body. No matter what I believe there is

A large population doesn't think men go through much when being involved with an abortion but that is a stereotype. Many men go through the same
emotions as women, such as guilt or constantly thinking if you made the right decision. It is also common for the father to want more rights in the
decision but it is ultimately not his. Right along with the men, women too have to make a decision, the most common I found are; youth, financial
reason, emotionally unstable, rape or just not interested in having children. All in which seem valid reasons. It may seem like a no brainer to some
when considering the many options on getting an abortion but what about the people who abuse abortions? Upon research I found many women
who've had 7 or more abortions are more likely sexually abused, but that was only one quarter of women getting abortions. The other 3 quarters just
astonish me and that's when I can start see outsiders getting upset, although at the end of the day it is none of their business... that sure doesn't stop
them. People such as Fred Phelps whom picket abortion clinics are the lowest of low in my book but something drives them to go out of their way to
express their opinion on this topic. With religion being a big portion of their reasons behind making a difficult decision into a

Choosing Your Own Electives
Electives should be a student's decision
Think back to when you were a middle schooler. Have you ever had a certain elective, every semester, and never had the class you were actually
interested in taking? I have, and I am ready for that to change. When you have the ability to choose your own electives, it usually makes children
eager to participate in classroom activities and just normal, slow pace class work. Kid's will get motivated to come, engage in schoolwork, and enjoy
a day at school, because they will be thinking about the two classes they choose to take themself. "Electives are classes that are not required.... Isabella
Colins from Choosing Your Own Electives says... (https://prezi.com/sibkpetv2rfa/choosing–your–own–electivess/ ), Students should choose their own

Well, this is what it is like in school. Would, if you were a middle schooler, and had a really great talent of drawing, and you really wanted to take
art for one of your electives, but you never got art. Would, if you had back or knee problems, and you got P.E. every semester? It is unfair to
"universalize" the electives at school, and choose the kid's electives, because if somebody is really good at something, they should be able to take that
class and thrive in it, instead of fail at something they are not so good at!
If students could choose their own electives, it would provide more self knowledge, and students would be much happier to come to school. People
would look forward to doing the classes they picked. Besides, students need time to explore their self knowledge, and choosing their own electives will
provide this. So, you should consider letting middle school students choose their own electives.

Choosing The Right Sources For Your Research

Essay about Making Good Choices.
Making Good Choices
By: Keria Owens
Making choices can affect any and everything in your life whether it's dealing with your family or just everyday situations. Everyone in life is
faced with good and bad choices that can either have a good outcome on your life or it can make a turn for the worst. Yes, everyone wants to make
good choices in life. But does that always happen? Nine times out of ten know. Recently, I made a bad choice that affected my life in numerous
ways for instance when I got caught shoplifting my parents looked down on me as if I was this thief. I'm very embarrassed of my actions but there's
nothing I can do to erase it I can only make this a learning experience and make better choices next time around. As teenagers...show more content...
Often times it can be difficult if not impossible to make what you think at that moment will be the right choice. One of the biggest factors that will
hold people back is that to too often than not we are not completely clear on what type of result or outcome we want from a situation. Think about it,
if you don't really know what kind of result you want it is going to be pretty hard to know what choice is going to be the right one. So what do you
do? You get a clear understanding, before you make any choice. Think about its effects in the longterm, and short term. Knowing exactly what you
want is very powerful. We have all heard the golden rule; do onto others as you would have them do onto you. This is probably one of the most
important ideas to keep in mind when making good choices. When we are young a lot of us develop this me, me, me, attitude. We want all the
toys, and we don't want to share. Now this mentality may get us a lot of toys, but it defiantly doesn't help you make friends. In this day and age a
large part of personal success is based on working with others to achieve our goals. If we can help others get what they want, it will be much easier
and they will be much more willing to help us get what we want. So when making any choice it is always ideal to think about how can I

Decision Decisions : Choosing A College
Decisions, decisions. Choosing a college is one of the most life–altering decisions that an individual can make, and choosing the right college is a
stressful process for high school seniors. Personally, the process overwhelmed me, and I did not know where to begin it especially when my
controlling parents did not approve any of my out–of–state choices. Although I have always been obedient and listened to my parents' every command,
I disobeyed my parents for the first time in my life when I decided to go away to college three thousand miles away from home. Every maturing
child goes through lot of pressures from their parents to choose the best university which will help create a path to a bright future and financial
supportive career. Some parents try to enforce their choice of schools on their children. On the other hand, some parents trust their children's ability
and judgment, and they give an opportunity to their children to choose the right school for themselves. My parents were also among those who
pressured me into staying close to home for college, preferably within 20 miles. My immature and inexperienced way of thinking hindered my
thoughts of practical approach to this decision as I wanted to satisfy my parents. Being unaware of consequences that choices lead, whether they are
good or bad, I decided to go against my parents' wishes. I committed the ultimate betrayal by deciding to attend Saint Mary's College almost three
thousand miles away from home. At first

You may want to consider getting a writing buddy, preferably someone who also writes. They can keep a check on you and ensure that you meet

You do not sound more intelligent just because you use big words, in fact, most people won't understand what you are trying to say. Brilliant writing

able to deliver a message that is clear and direct. Only use longer or bigger words if there are no other words to convey the specific meaning.
When you have nothing to say you will end up writing sentences that have no meaning. Make sure you do a lot of reading, pay attention to current
events and choose your subjects carefully. When you have something to say you will be able to more easily share it with your readers.
Sentences and paragraphs should be kept short and to the point. This makes them much easier for everyone to read and understand. Our brains process

Why Did I Choose This Project?
Investigating Why did I choose this project? I chose 'Drawing with the Left hand' as my project because I greatly enjoy art, and have always wished to
challenge myself with learning different things. Drawing is one of the things I enjoy most, and I had always been curious about the thought of
switching to my non–dominant hand because of how peculiar it would be to know how to do something in terms of knowledge, and yet not to be
able to do so because of the physical inability to do so. Deciding that this would be an interesting, challenging project whose topic I am passionate
about, I felt this would be a good choice for my personal project. What prior learning did I have that is relevant to the project? Prior to this project,
I had already acquired the knowledge of knowing how to draw with my right hand, which was incredibly helpful as I had already learned what
techniques were useful in drawing and which mistakes to avoid making. This made the process of learning how to draw with my left hand far
easier, for I was able to apply what I had learned with my right hand to my left and therefore improve more quickly than I could have otherwise. I
had also previously known small sections of the science behind the brain and how it works, from how the left and right hemispheres of the brain are
connected to the opposite side of the body and how each side of the brain has specific "functions". I investigated more about this topic during the
length of my project, to see if I

Life Essay : Choosing The Right Path In Life
Choosing the Right Path in Life
Thorough out life we need to choose a path in life. This is the hardest decision we can make because this is what determines our future and not
choosing the right one can lead to poverty or sadness for the rest of our lives. Choosing between our parents can be one decision but which parent do we
chose? We love both of them equally but how will they feel when you pick the other? Another issue is choosing what to do with your life in total.
Not all of us know what we want to do in life and our parents just telling us to do what's best doesn't always help. Which path do we take? How do we
know what's better for us? Even having to choose can lead to sadness, so what do we do?
What is best? This is a question that all of us ask ourselves throughout our life times numerous times. Choosing what is best for us is hard because we
don't know what will work out perfectly and what we will fail to achieve. In the short story The Boat the only boy in the family is not being told what
to do. His parents have expectations for him to follow but it is his decision on which one to chose. One parent will end up being disappointed but it is
what the boy thinks is right to do. The boys mother wants him to follow in her family's footsteps. She wants him to continue in the life of the boat and

Three simple strategies for evaluating a potential research topic
in your study if it has little or no likelihood, because of poor conceptualisation and design, of producing meaningful results or furthering scientific

If your topic is not worthwhile, not only is it unethical, but you are also failing to satisfy the requirements of meaningful results with theoretical and
practical implications. Hence, you will fail to meet the full requirements for an undergraduate project in psychology, and you will ultimately loose
precious marks. If the examiner of your project reads your project and thinks 'well so what', then you have not met the full requirements of your
psychology project. It is important to note that it is your responsibility to come up with valid topics that are worthwhile. Your supervisor's role is to

Persuasive Essay On Choosing A College
Deciding on a college is a stressful time in any student's life. All students deal with stress about their future after high school, regardless of whether
they plan for college or not. Some may think that students are making the decision into something more difficult than it has to be; however, this is an
incredibly important time in any student's life. It entails a lot of thought. Like putting on makeup, deciding on a school requires effort and creativity,
but both can show who a person is. Choosing a school requires hard work and preparation, creativity for students to express themselves, and freedom to
decide exactly what they want. To qualify for certain colleges, students must be focused throughout high school. Some schools can be selective on who
they accept while others have high acceptance rates; some schools require classes that others do not. Students need to put in the effort and dedication
to qualify for the schools they believe would be the best fit. For these students, grades are not something they can only put partial effort into. To
maintain their grades, students keep track of their assignments and work hard throughout all of high school. Students get the option to be creative
while choosing their schools because whatever school is chosen will be used to express themselves. After choosing a school, the student will strongly
align themselves with that school. Schools offer merchandise because when students like a school they want to represent it; thus proves that many
people use schools' names or logos as a means to express themselves. However, for prospective students finding a school to align with can be stressful.
They have to know exactly what traits they desire. One thing people may consider: community college or university. Some go to community college
because they are unsure of their major; some go to trade schools because they only want to learn skills for a certain job; some go straight to a
four–year university; some students do not go to any college. A person's choice in their education depends on their personal preferences: how much
work they are willing to put in, who they want to align with, and freedom to choose what they want to do.
Similarly, makeup requires a lot of

Choosing A Major And An Idea Of A Career

  • 1. Choosing A Major And An Idea Of A Career Choosing a major and an idea of a career you want to pursue, is not an easy choice. There is a lot of thinking that goes into deciding what you want to study and what you want to become in the future. Most people are not positive even once they have entered college as to what it is for sure they want to do. This MyPlan assessment was extremely informative in what my skills were and how I could use them. Going to the Career Center on February 5 really helped me to understand what my results meant and what I could take out of this assessment. We took four tests, a personality, personal interest, skills, and values test. For my personality test report, there were 4 different categories looked at to come up with a combined census of what my personality is. You were either, extroverted or introverted, sensor or intuitive, thinker or feeler, and judger or perceiver. My results showed that I was ESTJ. Which means that I am extroverted, sensor, thinker, and a judger. Extroverts basically respond very well to social gatherings and like to be around people. They are usually very talkative and tend to work well in teams. Sensors seek specific answers to specific questions. Usually they do not have a very wide imagination and are more realistic. Thinkers believe that it is important to be right and honest with themselves than it is to be liked. A thinker seeks fairness and tend to be tough–minded. Judgers appreciate organizations, punctuality, order, schedules, etc. Judgers tend to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Applications: Utility Concerns in Choosing an Assessment Method Randy May works for a small airline based on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. He recently won two million in the New England Lottery and decided to invest his winnings, ultimately, in a chain of ice cream shops in the Cape Cod area to gain potential future earnings. Figuring he had enough money to open up ice cream shops in both islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, as well as two shops in Falmouth and Buzzards Bay, he signed a contract with a local builder and began construction of the shops. After beginning the process of construction, he was faced with the next task of hiring employees to staff the four ice cream shops. Throughout his calculations, he estimated...show more content... In this particular case, Randy will need to assign the correct numbers to the correct category. For the purposes of this case study, assume T will equal 1 to make the equation represent one year of employment in one of the ice cream shops. For following variables, Nn will equal 50 as there will be 50 applicants total selected to be hired, rxy will represent .30 in one equation representing the interview and job performance and in the other equation, it will represent .50 which will represent the work sample predictor and job performance, SDy will be chosen to represent .20, бєђs will be .80 because it will be the predictor score of the selected applicants, Na will represent 100, as that is the total number of applicants that submitted applications, and Cy will represent the cost per applicant in the interview and job performance in one equation as 100 and it will represent 150 in the other equation for work sample and job Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. A Time For Choosing Speech Summary In the speech "A Time for Choosing," a promotion of Barry Goldwater, the 1964 Republican presidential nominee, Ronald Reagan reveals the failure of the present American government under strong centralized leadership, establishes Goldwater's competence and morality, and emphasizes the necessity for a drastic change from the current government, that can be achieved through the election of Goldwater. He applies figurative language in order to convince the audience of the immorality of liberalism and encourage support for Goldwater. Reagan gives this speech during the 1964 presidential election campaign, well before his debut as a politician, therefore demonstrating a new take on the presidential nominees, not as a politician, but a highly acclaimed actor and trusted American. His audience, directly conservatives, but including all parties, is able to identify Reagan's credibility through an overarching unifying tone. This speech sparks Reagan's popularity, eventually leading to his role as head of the republican party, and America as a whole.. Reagan begins his delineation on the morality of Goldwater and evil of liberalism by indicating the disappointing actions of the American government. He juxtaposes the humble desires of the wheat farmers of America with the unfortunate contradiction of these requests by the policies of the federal government. Reagan acknowledges that "The wheat farmers voted against a wheat program. The government passed it anyway" (16). Reagan implies Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Critical Thinking Involved In Choosing A Major Choosing an academy major somewhat entails much thought and thoughtfulness. Nevertheless, it is the first thing toward developing a foundation that you will continue to shape on for the remainder of one's life. Some people, before getting to college know exactly what they want to study (major). But wait, If I may ask, was critical thinking involved in choosing this major? There are thousands of majors out there to choose from and it doesn't matter what you are majoring in. The most important aspect of choosing any major is looking beyond what people around you are majoring in, weigh your ability to perform in the chosen major, then ask self–questions like, what are the opportunities that await me? How will my major benefit me, people around me, and the society at large? Do I have the potential needed to climb to the top of my career in this major? Do I have financial resources? These and many more self–questions will help in thinking deeply before choosing the major you're about to choose....show more content... During the process, you use a set of critical thinking skills to consider an issue. At conclusion, you make a judgment about what to believe, or a decision about what to do". Knowing what you're capable of doing in the field you choose. When you get to college your success depends solely on you, and you as a student must take charge and "take the bull by the horns". Your determination to succeed will help you excel in college. Be mentally and physically ready. You must involve critical thinking about what you want to major in to be mentally and physically ready. Set the goal for yourself and believe you can do it and work harder, surely, success will be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Why I Chose My Topic Why I Chose My Topic There has been an immense inundation of technological devices in the context of our society. One of the most creative and modern technologies ruling the world today are the cell phones. Cell phones have completely changed the way of society functions and thus the communication barriers have been eliminated to a considerable extent. Most of the teenagers today are looking to interact with their relatives and friends through their cell phones and do not depend on physical interactions. As an electrical engineering major, I have selected cell phones because I have studied regarding cellular communication in my under–graduation. Results of a survey of 170 student's at large southern university revealed that ...show more content... Unsurprisingly my list was rather short and it seemed that I had more questions than answers. Cell phones have not just turned into a system for correspondence; they have advanced into a stimulation device. Since this little, hand–held machines appear to do everything; youthful children ask and argue for a wireless. The normal age for teenagers to get their own particular wireless is somewhere around 12 and 13. However that doesn 't mean you won 't see considerably more youthful youngsters with telephones. Around 3 percent of kids get their mobile phone under age 10 and 6 percent get them at age 10. Despite the fact that numerous folks may feel centre school is still excessively adolescent for understudies to have their own particular wireless, others may feel there are a few preferences to having these contraptions at such a youthful age. They like to have the capacity to stay in contact with their youngsters so they can take a more dynamic part in guaranteeing their security. Folks can even utilize programming, for example, wireless parental control programming to keep a closer eye on their kid 's every day exercises. I decided to focus my research on a few key questions that I had about cell phone usage among young adults. Primarily, I wanted to know how many hours does an average young adult Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay On Choosing A Topic Choosing a topic Choosing a topic is always the first step of any research process. The statement seems simple, but the chosen topic defines all other stages of the process. In order to choose a topic, one has first to identify a problem whose remedy or eradication calls for research. This is then followed by the development of a research question. The question forms the statement that serves as the research topic. The topic, which is the focus of the study, provides keywords for the next stage of research, that is, the literature review. Reviewing Literature A review of the literature provides more detailed information on the chosen topic. Its purpose is to give the researcher knowledge that will form the foundation for his or her study and therefore, the information must be related to the topic. Not only does it provide basic information on the variables in the topic but also covers various relatable studies conducted in the past; how, where they were conducted, and the conclusions that the researcher(s) came to. Literature can be obtained from a wide variety of sources; newspapers, journals, databases, books, encyclopedias, digital sources, and much more. Information obtained in this section helps the researcher understand the magnitude of the problem defined in the first stage, recognize any consequences and gaps that other researchers may have not filled, and identify potential strategies to combat the problem. It serves as a secondary source of information. Based on Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Choosing An Outfit And Dress Have you ever wondered what it would be like to select an outfit and dress a toddler? Have you ever wondered what frustrations some parents face every day just to prepare their toddler to go anywhere? Maybe you have heard your peers discussing their experience with dressing their children and wondered what it was really like? Prepare yourself for a journey through the joys of dressing a toddler. Although there are some of you that can relate to this experience, there are also some of you that have never ventured this journey. The first thing I would recommend, is to locate the child's clothing. Whether it be in the closet, or in a dresser. Locate the child's shirts, select the shirt of your choice for the child. Now, locate the child's pants/shorts, and make a selection appropriate to the weather at the moment. Next you will locate the child's socks and underwear. Make a selection of socks and appropriate underwear. Some toddlers may not be potty trained resulting in the need of using pull–ups rather than underwear. Finally you should have a complete outfit for the toddler, and you're prepared to encounter the part that sometimes can be considered the toughest of the entire process. Although, there are some people that may experience no difficulty in their experiences dressing toddlers. Each Toddler is going to participate in a different manner and extent. Now that you have selected an outfit, the potentially hardest part awaits you. Gather the outfit, and the toddler, and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Essay On Choices In Life I believe that everyone in this life has choices. The choices we make define who we are as people and what we stand for. Choosing one path over another may be the best or worst decision you could ever make. However, once you have chosen, stick to your decision because you made that choice for a reason. Even if it is to have lunch at a certain restaurant over another, or a bigger decision like choosing your major. Something in your life helped you make that decision, and the worst thing you can do is live your life with the regret of a choice. If your decision ends up badly, simply make another choice. Choose a new path. In the words of my oh so wise History teacher, "Never second guess yourself because that's worse than making the wrong choice in the end." One of the best examples that comes to mind is a story I heard a few weeks ago, based on a real event. In 1979, a man named Lee Strobel and his family went to a restaurant one evening and he gave his 7 year old daughter a nickel to get a gumball from the machine and a few moments later, she came back to the table choking on the gum. They didn't know what to do and if they waited for an ambulance they feared it would be too late. All of a sudden, a woman came up and said that she is a nurse and can help. The woman, after getting the gumball out of the little girl, told her parents that her and her husband were headed to another restaurant when all of a sudden she made a last minute choice to go here. Because of her choice, a little girl's life was saved. Hearing stories such as this one, reminds me of all of the choices I have made, and how they have affected me. When I was 6, my family up and moved to a new school called Knox County. I loved it there for I had so many friends and nothing bad ever happened. Then at the end of 5th grade, my dad got a new job so we moved schools again. This time I was 11 and starting middle school at a small school called Pilot Grove, and I've been here ever since. There are times I catch myself wondering what would've happened if we had stayed in Knox or the first town I ever lived in, Philadelphia (no not the one in Pennsylvania). Sometimes I even believe that things would be a lot better if we had stayed there. There are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Abortion I chose to write about the topic of Abortion because it is something most everyone has a strong opinion about, you either fight for or against it, or not at all but I am sure you have an opinion. As a woman whom has gone through an abortion and not afraid to say it, of course I have a strong opinion but that doesn't mean I don't think it can be abused. I often find myself thinking about all the other situations girls and women are often in and find themselves making a hard decision. What rights should we have? Should we be ashamed? Is it moral? These are just a fraction of questions to be answer but if I know one thing I believe women have a right to decide what to do with their own body. No matter what I believe there is ...show more content... A large population doesn't think men go through much when being involved with an abortion but that is a stereotype. Many men go through the same emotions as women, such as guilt or constantly thinking if you made the right decision. It is also common for the father to want more rights in the decision but it is ultimately not his. Right along with the men, women too have to make a decision, the most common I found are; youth, financial reason, emotionally unstable, rape or just not interested in having children. All in which seem valid reasons. It may seem like a no brainer to some when considering the many options on getting an abortion but what about the people who abuse abortions? Upon research I found many women who've had 7 or more abortions are more likely sexually abused, but that was only one quarter of women getting abortions. Have you ever had a certain elective, every semester, and never had the class you were actually interested in taking? I have, and I am ready for that to change. When you have the ability to choose your own electives, it usually makes children eager to participate in classroom activities and just normal, slow pace class work. Kid's will get motivated to come, engage in schoolwork, and enjoy a day at school, because they will be thinking about the two classes they choose to take themself. Well, this is what it is like in school. Would, if you were a middle schooler, and had a really great talent of drawing, and you really wanted to take art for one of your electives, but you never got art. Would, if you had back or knee problems, and you got P.E. every semester? It is unfair to "universalize" the electives at school, and choose the kid's electives, because if somebody is really good at something, they should be able to take that class and thrive in it, instead of fail at something they are not so good at! If students could choose their own electives, it would provide more self knowledge, and students would be much happier to come to school. People would look forward to doing the classes they picked. Besides, students need time to explore their self knowledge, and choosing their own electives will provide this. So, you should consider letting middle school students choose their own electives. Everyone in life is faced with good and bad choices that can either have a good outcome on your life or it can make a turn for the worst. Yes, everyone wants to make good choices in life. But does that always happen? Nine times out of ten know. Recently, I made a bad choice that affected my life in numerous ways for instance when I got caught shoplifting my parents looked down on me as if I was this thief. One of the biggest factors that will hold people back is that to too often than not we are not completely clear on what type of result or outcome we want from a situation. Think about it, if you don't really know what kind of result you want it is going to be pretty hard to know what choice is going to be the right one. So what do you do? You get a clear understanding, before you make any choice. Think about its effects in the longterm, and short term. Knowing exactly what you want is very powerful. We have all heard the golden rule; do onto others as you would have them do onto you. This is probably one of the most important ideas to keep in mind when making good choices. When we are young a lot of us develop this me, me, me, attitude. We want all the toys, and we don't want to share. Now this mentality may get us a lot of toys, but it defiantly doesn't help you make friends. In this day and age a large part of personal success is based on working with others to achieve our goals. If we can help others get what they want, it will be much easier and they will be much more willing to help us get what we want. • 13. Decision Decisions : Choosing A College Decisions, decisions. Choosing a college is one of the most life–altering decisions that an individual can make, and choosing the right college is a stressful process for high school seniors. Personally, the process overwhelmed me, and I did not know where to begin it especially when my controlling parents did not approve any of my out–of–state choices. Although I have always been obedient and listened to my parents' every command, I disobeyed my parents for the first time in my life when I decided to go away to college three thousand miles away from home. Every maturing child goes through lot of pressures from their parents to choose the best university which will help create a path to a bright future and financial supportive career. Some parents try to enforce their choice of schools on their children. On the other hand, some parents trust their children's ability and judgment, and they give an opportunity to their children to choose the right school for themselves. My parents were also among those who pressured me into staying close to home for college, preferably within 20 miles. My immature and inexperienced way of thinking hindered my thoughts of practical approach to this decision as I wanted to satisfy my parents. Being unaware of consequences that choices lead, whether they are good or bad, I decided to go against my parents' wishes. I committed the ultimate betrayal by deciding to attend Saint Mary's College almost three thousand miles away from home. At first Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 16. Why Did I Choose This Project? Investigating Why did I choose this project? I chose 'Drawing with the Left hand' as my project because I greatly enjoy art, and have always wished to challenge myself with learning different things. Drawing is one of the things I enjoy most, and I had always been curious about the thought of switching to my non–dominant hand because of how peculiar it would be to know how to do something in terms of knowledge, and yet not to be able to do so because of the physical inability to do so. Deciding that this would be an interesting, challenging project whose topic I am passionate about, I felt this would be a good choice for my personal project. What prior learning did I have that is relevant to the project? Prior to this project, I had already acquired the knowledge of knowing how to draw with my right hand, which was incredibly helpful as I had already learned what techniques were useful in drawing and which mistakes to avoid making. This made the process of learning how to draw with my left hand far easier, for I was able to apply what I had learned with my right hand to my left and therefore improve more quickly than I could have otherwise. I had also previously known small sections of the science behind the brain and how it works, from how the left and right hemispheres of the brain are connected to the opposite side of the body and how each side of the brain has specific "functions". I investigated more about this topic during the length of my project, to see if I Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 21. Persuasive Essay On Choosing A College Deciding on a college is a stressful time in any student's life. All students deal with stress about their future after high school, regardless of whether they plan for college or not. Some may think that students are making the decision into something more difficult than it has to be; however, this is an incredibly important time in any student's life. It entails a lot of thought. Like putting on makeup, deciding on a school requires effort and creativity, but both can show who a person is. Choosing a school requires hard work and preparation, creativity for students to express themselves, and freedom to decide exactly what they want. To qualify for certain colleges, students must be focused throughout high school. Some schools can be selective on who they accept while others have high acceptance rates; some schools require classes that others do not. Students need to put in the effort and dedication to qualify for the schools they believe would be the best fit. For these students, grades are not something they can only put partial effort into. To maintain their grades, students keep track of their assignments and work hard throughout all of high school. Students get the option to be creative while choosing their schools because whatever school is chosen will be used to express themselves. After choosing a school, the student will strongly align themselves with that school. Schools offer merchandise because when students like a school they want to represent it; thus proves that many people use schools' names or logos as a means to express themselves. However, for prospective students finding a school to align with can be stressful. They have to know exactly what traits they desire. One thing people may consider: community college or university. Some go to community college because they are unsure of their major; some go to trade schools because they only want to learn skills for a certain job; some go straight to a four–year university; some students do not go to any college. A person's choice in their education depends on their personal preferences: how much work they are willing to put in, who they want to align with, and freedom to choose what they want to do. Similarly, makeup requires a lot of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
