3. Hazards Identification
Most important hazards: Some individuals with specific sensitivities may injury their
eyes, noses, throats slightly when they exposure in the fumes for a long time. There
are no other effects known until now. Specific hazards: No acute hazards or effects

4. First aid measures
Skin contact: especially with hot polymer, may cause skin irritation in some sensitive
people resulting in redness, itching, and in extreme cases, blistering. Avoid contact
with hot polymer which may give thermal burns.
Eye contact: polymer chips in the eye will cause mechanical damage including
scratching of the cornea.

Suitable extinguishing media: Water, foam, chemical power and carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: None Hazardous combustion products: Carbon
monoxide, carbon dioxide, products from incomplete combustion, nitrogen oxides,
acrid fumes and toxic gases. Special hazards in fire: During emergency conditions
exposure to thermal decomposition products may cause a health hazard. Use of
NIOSH approved self contained breathing apparatus is recommended. When required
special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Protective clothes and gas mask.
6. Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: There is no actual hazardous of the Hypalon. The release is not
applicable. Environmental precautions: Clean the floor immediately and reuse the
clean powder. Drop the dirty part to the waste treatment center. Methods for cleaning:
Sweep the floor.
7. Handling and storage
Handling: The finished product should be packed to dry clean containers in time.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Storage and work areas should be monitored for
carbon tetrachloride to assure that the PEL is not exceeded.

10. Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: stable at normal temperatures and storage conditions.
Materials to avoid: the decomposition temperature of the products described in the
Material Safety Data Sheet is affected by the type of compounding ingredients used
and by the method of processing. Onset of decomposition can be as low as 150

degrees C. lowers temperatures are recommended for masterbateches containing high
concentrations of lead oxides.
Decomposition: HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSTION PRODUCTS: carbon
tetrachloride is liberated on standing; evolution is accelerated with heat.
Decomposition products include carbon monoxide, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide,
and hydrocarbon oxidation products including organic acids, aldehydes and alcohols.
Polymerization: polymerization will not occur.
Hazardous decomposition products: In combustion case, it emits toxic fumes of
carbonic oxides and nitrogen and HCN.
11. Toxicological information
Animal Data
TALC
Talc
Oral LD50: 920 mg/kg in rats
Inhalation 5 hour ALC: > 22 mg/L in rats.
Long-term exposure by ingestion to Talc caused no significant decrease in life span.
A single exposure by inhalation to high doses of Talc caused irregular respiration and
lacrimation but no evidence of an inflammatory reaction. Repeated exposure caused
no adverse effects on survival or histological changes. Long-term exposure in rats
caused chronic inflammation, impaired pulmonary function and histological changes
of the lungs. One lifetime inhalation study reports an increased incidence of lung and
adrenal tumors in rats exposed to Talc. The lung tumors and chronic inflammation
occurred at dust levels which overwhelmed the animals’ lung clearance mechanism
and, therefore, are of questionable biological relevance for man. The adrenal tumors
are unlikely to be a direct effect of Talc exposure and are of questionable relevance.
No increases in tumors were observed in mice. Talc has not caused developmental
toxicity in animals. No animal data are available to define the reproductive toxicity of
Talc. Tests have shown that Talc does not cause genetic damage in bacterial or
mammalian cell cultures, or in animals. Animal data indicate that Talc does not cause
permanent genetic damage in reproductive cells of mammals (does not cause heritable
genetic damage).
12. Ecological information
Avoid to spreading these products in the environment. They are not biodegradable,
but they are recyclable No effects are expected if dust concentrations are maintained
below the Occupational Exposure Standard. No carcinogenic or geotaxis effects are
known.
13. Disposal Considerations
Reuse if possible. Dispose in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and
applicable environmental regulations. Material as supplied is not characterized as
hazardous under RCRA.
